00:26:04: well welcome to a mixed apiatic radio show Man.
00:26:07: We're over here in France Connecting the dots from friends To The US men As we usually Do.
00:26:13: I'm your host, King Flo the mixtape addict and today my special guest is none other than the infamous Amadeus in The Building.
00:26:22: How are you man?
00:26:23: I'm
00:26:24: good man Jay it was actually snowing today so i got to shovel my driveway.
00:26:31: typical New York stuff man.
00:26:33: yeah this has been one of the worst winters.
00:26:36: This wouldn't kind of remind me like when I was growing up in the nineties.
00:26:41: It's just been cold, it has snowing.
00:26:44: The wind hasn't been okay the last few years but this year was horrible.
00:26:47: Yeah man North America don't play with the snow.
00:26:50: I'm lucky out there where i'm at in France we don't have snow... Oh no!
00:26:53: ...I mean..it could be cool to have you know?
00:26:55: Just look at nature and look at the snow.
00:26:58: Could be dope But sadly We Don't Have Any Snow Out There.
00:27:03: Lucky You Man!
00:27:06: Yeah, a little bit of snow is cool but like you in New York man I think it's too much.
00:27:10: You know driving on the snow or yeah something special.
00:27:13: Yeah, yeah, yeah paint me a painting of
00:27:16: your ass!
00:27:16: Yeah real talk man.
00:27:17: and let me start with the mixed apiatic question.
00:27:20: may not have a tradition in this show that i always ask from my guests who is y'all all time favorite DJ bro?
00:27:27: My all-time favorite
00:27:29: DJ?!
00:27:29: You don't know what we've thought about that.
00:27:37: Oh... You can give me a. You can give me a top three if you prefer.
00:27:40: Alright, so Top Three we'll go with Pamir.
00:27:43: We will go with Battlecat DJ Battlecat.
00:27:56: We do Pamir and Battlecat.
00:27:58: Red Alert.
00:27:59: Yeah yeah, three legends right there.
00:28:01: I tell the people why especially those three for those that don't know.
00:28:07: Well you know Battlecat.
00:28:08: he was one of the reasons why West Coast is where it's between production & its impact.
00:28:15: You know what I'm saying?
00:28:16: And Red Alert is the person that broke all of the artists early on in the eighties, not only that.
00:28:22: The DJs.
00:28:22: so there's no flexes.
00:28:24: There probably no Hot Ninety Seven.
00:28:26: It's probably no Breakfast Club.
00:28:27: it was probably none of that without Red Alert and little do people know.
00:28:31: Red Alert Is still one Of the most most listened to DJs In New York City.
00:28:37: Being on WBLS and Premier i mean his impact already solidified.
00:28:44: I mean, he's from Houston but man... He created that boom bap sound That i think a lot of us still follow today.
00:28:52: Of course other people didn't.
00:28:53: you know Q-Tip definitely had to hand in it and there is a buncha' people.
00:28:57: But when u still looking like how the underground operates once u start getting into that Eighty Seven BPM range?
00:29:04: I Think The Majority People Try To Mimic Premier Sound.
00:29:07: Yeah, I think everybody was influenced by the way he cuts his samples and also He made it popular to do a scratchy hook.
00:29:18: It's almost like having your premiere hook is giving you verus from a rapper You know?
00:29:23: The way he scratches not the best technical DJ But the way he does it, you know is just... It's primo man, gotta respect all that.
00:29:32: Yeah
00:29:33: I mean it's primo and when think of that type of chorus You'd think of a DJ Premier Type of Chorus And not only..I mean He like People don't know about Travis.
00:29:43: So him & Travis Scott family have some sort connection And Travis Scott father Talked with Premier how to play the drums When Travis Scott was about get signed in Kanye, Premier made that call.
00:29:54: You know what I'm saying?
00:29:55: To get that done.
00:29:56: So his impact is great, so even if it's an impact like in the melodic market you're not made for him to influence or be influenced by an artist and family's fire.
00:30:06: Yeah man!
00:30:06: It's so dope when its crossing boundaries too.
00:30:09: Travis Scott music is most popular with young people nowadays but everything is linked man That's a beautiful thing about this stuff.
00:30:17: and
00:30:18: you know I wanted to tell, You did not mention Kid Capri in your top three but YOU remember me of Kid Capris because you're a DJ.
00:30:27: You rap!
00:30:28: You produce!
00:30:29: You have a radio show.
00:30:31: the way you embrace different elements of hip-hop And New York dude...you make me think about Kid Capra too ya'know?
00:30:39: Yeah shout out to Kid Caprice.
00:30:40: man i got a chance be on a song with him on Dominique's album Me and Kickerpreet in Dubai, it was called My DJ is Better Than You.
00:30:49: It's basically DJs that rap better than rappers And through that song me and kickerpreets.
00:30:56: I never knew kickerbreet before But do that song we found out That were actually from the same neighborhood In the Bronx.
00:31:03: Okay
00:31:04: you know what i'm saying?
00:31:05: So me and Kickkerpreet as u said Have a lot more on common besides the radio.
00:31:09: We're actually From The Same Area in North Bronx.
00:31:12: And of course, Kid Capri is one the greatest DJs.
00:31:16: He probably me personally had the greatest live set I ever saw at Hip Hop Fifty in Yankee Stadium.
00:31:22: he had all his own set when it did the hip hop fifties.
00:31:25: uh, fiftieth birthday celebration by Massapil and Nas in Yankees Stadium... ...and that was by far Probably The Greatest DJ Set I've Ever Seen
00:31:34: Live.
00:31:34: Yeah a lot people don't tell me that man like Kid Capris When It Comes To Life Performances At The Eamon, Jazzy Jeff I think they're the best man when it comes to live performance.
00:31:42: Yeah, yeah i agree.
00:31:45: And now like When did you decide?
00:31:47: To You know do Like different things like that because a lot of people you Know They just want to rap or they Just won't produce.
00:31:53: they just Wanted radio and you decided to embrace all those Different elements.
00:31:59: be able to Do and do It nice at same time.
00:32:02: You know it's not like your average on The mic Your good emcee.
00:32:05: so when Did you Decide to you know Be present in All Elements Of hip-hop.
00:32:10: Yeah, I think a lot of times artists or creators we have an issue growing because everybody does the same thing.
00:32:20: So you're in DJ crew and nobody is DJ's.
00:32:22: no one knows how to engineer No one know how do artwork?
00:32:25: No one knows How to be an emcee!
00:32:27: No one understands copyright registration and public relations And how to do a blog.
00:32:33: You need No, no machine moves on light heart.
00:32:37: So as an example with a car you got the steering wheel You've got the road is he's got two wheels?
00:32:41: He got that engine.
00:32:42: and so someone has to step out of The comfort zone and figure out how all this shit works.
00:32:49: And what once I want to know said it before one's auto tool really hit Especially Kanye and Wayne with T-Pain you kind of didn't.
00:32:58: nobody couldn't sing or not.
00:32:59: But once our way and Kanye doing them like you know What This Is changing.
00:33:04: The program is changing and I need to pivot.
00:33:08: so when the programs spins around, like i'm towards the top of the mountain.
00:33:14: And I didn't want it be there as an artist!
00:33:17: So I taught myself all these things that you guys see It started with publications.
00:33:26: Me & My Wife had a print magazine in two hundred forty three newsstands And then we were casting music videos, so... We casted Fifty Sand and Fabulous.
00:33:34: Just a bunch of it- There's actually a record with Fifty San in Kendrick Lamar.
00:33:38: I forget the name but it's over.
00:33:38: when we casted The Females for that video!
00:33:41: Then THAT led into me getting to film You know?
00:33:44: I just bought a camera and learned how do this shit!
00:33:46: You know what i'm saying?
00:33:46: I ended up shooting Prodigy.
00:33:49: you look at my resume From there.. Just by chance I got to National Geographic.
00:33:56: I was selling nutcrackers like as a side hustle and not the Nat Geo.
00:34:01: And then from that Geo, That's how I got to Serious XM.
00:34:04: When i got to serous XM ,I didn't understand anything about radio .
00:34:07: I knew how to speak.. I know how to host... I Knew How To Communicate With The Audits But I understood how none of that goes.... I even Know How To DJ.
00:34:15: So you know all this sort Of Fear Is A Reward.
00:34:18: In a Lotta Times We Just Block Ourselves.
00:34:20: You Know What I Mean?
00:34:22: Now That I Am Where Im Now Um I Can Drop An Album Because I don't need anyone to do nothing for me.
00:34:29: That, i guess that was just the bottom thing like You know all of us especially artists DJs We're waiting for some radio station.
00:34:37: or come pick yourself up artist records you waitin' For some dj to play your shit?
00:34:41: You know he's waiting for producer.
00:34:42: Do ya beat you waiting for a platform to give you shine?
00:34:45: I'm like fuck yeah.
00:34:46: I'm gonna do all this shit myself So only nobody And I can go from A-Z on my own.
00:34:53: You know saying and I think that's kind of like the totality Of what you see, And thats ultimately why i did That.
00:34:59: It started after from The perspective of an emcee But obviously as time Changed um..you Know...I definitely make sure that i give to others.
00:35:10: You know Im saying?
00:35:11: Because i understand What it is To be An unsigned artist.
00:35:14: I also don't want this to Be a unsigned DJ But just trying to get back As much as possible.
00:35:20: Yeah, and that's what you're doing with the show The Punchline Academy on shade-forty five And much respect to you for bringing back like the OGs You know?
00:35:29: Like like elegy.
00:35:30: For example or even hit copyright on there, you know That some dope emcees man, then he decided to give them shine on shade forty five.
00:35:38: It's a wonderful thing which we are doing With two freestyles.
00:35:42: What made you want to do that?
00:35:44: was it to do like some type of kind I'd bring back original hip-hop spirit or the mixtape spiritual to have all those free styles.
00:35:52: Like what made you want do that?
00:35:55: Well, I had an advantage because i'm on shade forty five and able interact with audience in real time.
00:36:03: You know when first got this shade was kind of bringing a program which is like the trappy Travis Scott little oozy cause thats why were around at small period.
00:36:14: then once understood who my actual audience was, I started to talk to them directly.
00:36:21: And it went back to what got me here which is the boom bap sound right?
00:36:25: But we have an issue because the majority of underground people artists they just tend make music that you can't play in public spaces.
00:36:40: Right It's very like slow no drums and i get it.
00:36:43: They're trying to mimic a sound.
00:36:44: so I was trying to figure, okay how do i re-engage the audience that likes The actual hip hop sound?
00:36:54: because if you get in the car and your a DJ but for most part If You're not looking For new music.
00:37:00: You might Not put the new Nas album on or the new Ghostface Album one?
00:37:03: You Might go back To the Classics!
00:37:05: You may not have heard of the new Rayquan album But you always gonna listen to ice cream And I think average consumer operates That way.
00:37:13: so I was trying to figure out a way to stimulate them by giving them something that they know what it sounded familiar with and started putting records together.
00:37:24: So, you know when I was working on Tragedy Kedafi?
00:37:26: um i put us all in the ghetto.
00:37:27: you know Paula Perry Granddaddy IU.
00:37:29: uh this song would jazz.
00:37:32: oh!
00:37:32: I'm just trying to think about What Sound Was Working?
00:37:35: I was collaborating with Council Money Beats so he got fire beats but he has like that premiere sound.
00:37:40: You know, GranddaddyIU, Paula Perry put them on a DJ Premier type of beat and it gets whole-slip to do the cuts.
00:37:47: Now I've recreated this sound!
00:37:50: How does the audience like it?
00:37:51: They love that shit and its'a new record
00:37:54: right?!
00:37:55: So once The Punch On Academy kinda started going I'm like you know what.
00:37:58: let me bring that same ideology but lemme get some guys that ya haven't seen in awhile come through and dump some bars.
00:38:05: Ya know man i got a brand new Freestyle Razzcats dropping this week Nice.
00:38:09: You haven't seen him really dump in a while, you see Coach Contra but you have not been seeing him.
00:38:13: so he's about to go and like just allotted that guy.
00:38:15: So it was the concept.
00:38:17: It is really about re-stimulating audience getting involved with new music But giving them something they are familiar so they engage
00:38:26: correctly.
00:38:27: And thats one more head that your wearing because of what you're talking right now.
00:38:31: its called executive producing.
00:38:33: You know people here or there this big here You know, so it's another hat that you have man.
00:38:39: You do some DJ Khaled type shit, you know what I mean?
00:38:41: Like putting all this together...
00:38:42: Like Quincy
00:38:43: Jones!
00:38:44: Yeah!
00:38:44: Yeah man exactly!
00:38:47: Much respect to the triple O G Quincy-Jones Man!
00:38:51: Yeah bro but is a wonderful thing.
00:38:53: we're watching there from France.
00:38:54: We are looking at freestyle.
00:38:56: Even some of my dudes don't even speak English like they just be crazy with the flow.
00:39:00: They were watching the MBS dudes in their back, you now I think its shit.
00:39:04: It's real hip-hop, bro.
00:39:06: That is what we love and thank you for doing that real talk.
00:39:09: man You know it was missed in the hip hop
00:39:12: Yeah
00:39:13: And he still
00:39:14: isn't.
00:39:14: hopefully get more than I have a lot of cycles then about to start moving around.
00:39:18: so were going to LA.
00:39:19: I'm planning on going to Atlanta Detroit like i am gonna start.
00:39:22: maybe eventually im getting overseas.
00:39:25: The concept with the punch out academy at some point felt as if Im getting into box Being S.J.
00:39:32: Forty five meaning You kind of see the footage from Shade and everybody's in the same place.
00:39:37: Yeah, this studio It's the same shit.
00:39:40: so man you know what I'm gonna do exactly What i'll do before?
00:39:42: Imma go to what got me here.
00:39:44: So now I'm bringing the radio station to the street.
00:39:46: so we're going to Staten Island.
00:39:48: We bring a shade forty five banners.
00:39:50: then put them right outside your projects.
00:39:52: dope
00:39:53: They get all they homies.
00:39:55: And I'm producing the ciphers now too.
00:39:57: so Put The beat on Go time And then you can see the energy, like if we watch that Staten Island Cypher especially.
00:40:04: a lot of people always talk about this Staten island cypher.
00:40:06: If you watched that cycle dad is like the epitome.
00:40:10: what The Punchline Academy.
00:40:12: it's not nobody famous It just your local street guys who got energy and they've got bars.
00:40:19: Yeah, bringing it back to the essence man.
00:40:21: You know just say you're filming those moments because back in the days there's a type of stuff that happened dudes battling and freestyling after another.
00:40:31: Now your bringin' the shade forty five banners Your bringing the camera.
00:40:34: so let the whole world knows about what is going on In this scene.
00:40:38: man It's so dope.
00:40:41: Hopefully come here to France or other countries from Europe because we have some serial punch liners out there, you know?
00:40:49: Some real MCs man.
00:40:51: So yeah gotta do the Punchline Academy overseas edition!
00:40:57: Yeah gotta run through the
00:40:58: whole year up!
00:41:00: Yeah man nothing is impossible.
00:41:02: so I wish nothing but success for you about doing it.
00:41:07: Let me ask you about some mixtape stuff, man.
00:41:09: I think i know the answer but im gonna ask it anyway.
00:41:12: Do You Miss The Mixtape Format?
00:41:16: Oh Yeah!
00:41:18: Oh Absolutely!
00:41:20: Absolutely.
00:41:21: But I Think Again...I Think The Problem Is That The Consumer Is No Longer Looking For New Music
00:41:33: Right?!
00:41:34: The MiXTAPE Market Thrive Because The Consumer was literally looking for new records.
00:41:42: Like that's what they were doing, like you are lookin' at Clue and this guy, that guy, Kit Capri, Ron G., all the mixtape lunges, J-Arms who had the fire instrumentals... You would go just for that!
00:41:57: It kind of changed especially with streaming release radars in New Mixtape.
00:42:03: And then how many people actually look at their release radar?
00:42:06: You know, so I think yes.
00:42:08: I a hundred percent miss the the mixtape market and nostalgia of The Freestyles And what you got to be side cuts?
00:42:16: And i mean it was classics on mix saves that never made into albums like Nas blazer.
00:42:23: fifty is Like an example.
00:42:25: like all of the fifty cent stuff my favorite mixed-saint artist ever was cannabis.
00:42:30: That
00:42:32: run that cannabis had on the mixtapes?
00:42:36: If you could put artists in trading cards, almost like how you do an NBA and got a thing to download or play is I think it's called my league.
00:42:46: You can take that ninety-seven cannabiss and pull them against anybody!
00:42:52: The way they was murdering beats... So i hundred percent missed the Mixtape format.
00:43:17: So do you think it's ever going to come back in a different format?
00:43:22: You know, we've seen like I was checking out Lloyd Banks Instagram for example.
00:43:26: He was using industry beats and doing freestyles on his instagram.
00:43:30: Like you kind of took it back to the mixtape spirit that i think he released those free styles only On this website not only streaming platforms because is gonna give flag for copyright.
00:43:39: so Maybe there's one way to do It!
00:43:42: Even with your freestyle That should be done at the punchline academy.
00:43:46: maybe compile something.
00:43:48: put the best freestyle You know what I'm saying?
00:43:50: Drop it as a mixtape.
00:43:53: Yeah, yeah again.
00:43:55: so the problem is when we were doing this you know i grew up in the nineties We didn't have that information highway.
00:44:04: Which Is This like technology?
00:44:07: So now Now With Technology People Consume This Way Right!
00:44:14: To get to your original question okay How do we get the mixtape market back to where it needs to be?
00:44:19: Well, We need a mixtaped audience To engage with that.
00:44:25: The mixtaed audience.
00:44:26: now That you know they got us between like you know forty three and fifty five years old You Know.
00:44:31: how did he get them to actually listen to what the majority of them even got Apple music or They've gotten like Spotify Or A lot people listening on via YouTube Like their youtube art tracks.
00:44:43: Then we have the content ID issue like you said Right, so I think for it to go where needs to go a combination of things need to happen.
00:44:51: It used be some physical products but the majority are physical product.
00:44:56: you don't open right?
00:44:59: You know no pen.
00:45:00: and then if you download a file Where do actually listening to the file through like you're just stored in your files?
00:45:08: Maybe maybe some sort of new technology or make me like up Like a new app almost like how that piff was.
00:45:14: yep Because
00:45:15: that Piff was very interesting because it's a mixtape platform, right?
00:45:20: But you could actually listen to the tapes.
00:45:23: So maybe... Maybe this is what we're missing!
00:45:24: We need a new platform That literally just caters to that.
00:45:29: You know those streaming platforms where Spotify and Apple Music are all dead.
00:45:33: They stole the playlist concept from the mixtapes From Live Mixtape From Deadcrack.com.
00:45:40: they stole that shit.
00:45:43: Even on that piff you could download the tracks and listen to them even with no internet connection Exactly like he can do now You know?
00:45:52: So yeah, we gotta find another way.
00:45:54: We got a comeback!
00:45:55: We've got fight man.
00:45:57: Yeah, for me I would recommend SoundCloud.
00:46:03: SoundCloud is not as popular as it was but i use soundcloud To upload all of my punchline academy shows so people can play them back And SoundCloud doesn't flag you for anything.
00:46:14: You know, I have industry music and all that.
00:46:16: so maybe it's like SoundCloud or something like Soundcloud?
00:46:19: For the honest...
00:46:20: Yup!
00:46:21: I think using your own website, you've got full rights to do whatever you want.
00:46:27: It was me who had to find a way because i was flagged many times when dropping mixtapes like ten fifteen years ago Got flagged, you know get our received letters from Warner Brothers.
00:46:38: You're telling me if you keep doing mixtape we gonna shut down all your that difficult.
00:46:42: I was like fuck you i'm still going to do it.
00:46:44: They shut my dad difficult.
00:46:49: Yeah yeah so had to find a way.
00:46:51: you knows I built the website up with my own stuff on there And maybe one day they'll flag my website but for now it's not the case.
00:47:02: Yeah man got two.
00:47:07: Let's go back in time, like when did you decide to really take your career seriously and knew that you had a chance?
00:47:16: make your marks on hip hop history?
00:47:26: I was facing some serious shit.
00:47:32: and I fucking beat the case on a technicality.
00:47:40: There was like, there's like a New York law penal code that allowed me to get out of this situation And at that moment my life was just a rollercoaster Of violence selling drugs Just like the typical New York Bronx story.
00:47:59: Um...and when When I beat that
00:48:02: case,
00:48:03: I had left the whole side of me in the courtroom.
00:48:05: Also my wife this other day and from that moment on said you know what?
00:48:09: I need to give myself a chance but i think The moment That got me where am now is when I have conversation with myself while wasn't gonna primarily be an MC anymore And was just basically getting it all by being egotistical as a lyricist.
00:48:30: And you know, that's a conversation.
00:48:32: That she gotta have with yourself and I encourage all artists to do that because You just can't be a rapper and luckily I saw that early on.
00:48:39: Yeah So now i'm in the position where I could rap comfortably like we would say earlier?
00:48:44: I don't need anybody but just doing myself.
00:48:46: um But yeah definitely those two moments that court date and then me deciding that I just wasn't That rap wasn't gonna be my primary focus as far as creative music And I would just figure out how all the other aspects of the industry work and that's what our really saw progress.
00:49:05: Sometimes you know, you have to go through tough moments.
00:49:08: You know bad moments in your life to find inspiration To find a change.
00:49:13: yeah, but it does what happened.
00:49:14: so you look at you now man.
00:49:16: Yeah Look here we
00:49:19: are.
00:49:19: Yeah, man.
00:49:20: And what do you want to be remembered for?
00:49:22: because we all passionate about hip-hop culture?
00:49:24: We all want to leave something in Hip Hop history book.
00:49:28: You know yeah and knew the infamous Amadeus like.
00:49:31: What Do You Want To Be Remembered
00:49:33: For?
00:49:35: um I think that's still yet to be determined Because i don't even really Think i'll start it yet I think Think one of the things that hasn't start to hit yet is my production Like people don't even know I'd be producing all these ciphers.
00:49:55: I Know.
00:49:57: So they still be asking like yo look at the beats unlike the drop says my name on all of them.
00:50:03: so maybe Maybe That would Be The ultimate goal To get to get a production.
00:50:09: because then not i can mold this sound away, I want it.
00:50:13: you know i mean and that And that Would be Like the ultimate satisfying fact that when I was shooting videos, and shot a lot of videos.
00:50:23: And you know we got chance to shoot probably would be Prodigy's last music video.
00:50:27: It is called Don't Test My Crackers.
00:50:29: He passed away like two months later.
00:50:33: When that happened i said You Know What?
00:50:35: Im not going to film anymore Videos!
00:50:37: And wanted to be remembered for That.
00:50:39: There Was Nothing Else I Could Accomplish.
00:50:41: So I kind Of Had To Wait Till The Moment Came.
00:50:43: Like You Know This Is What I Want To Be Real For Out You know, so I feel like maybe it'll be the same thing with the music but also that production and just giving people that
00:50:53: sound.
00:50:54: Yep!
00:50:54: And talking about that sound...I've heard a new project, NSE & Her.
00:51:00: Man you brought me back.
00:51:02: Kind of like some New Jack Vise almost, you know?
00:51:06: Like R&B mixed for hip hop.
00:51:08: It was so dope to hear that close-to-me The song title.
00:51:11: Close To Me.
00:51:13: It's on repeat, bro.
00:51:14: Like it's not all the time that I play something on repeat especially in our era of twenty-twenty six you know?
00:51:20: Its very rare to find something that i'll play and repeat And this shit been on repeat for like five days or so.
00:51:28: So can u tell us about your album?
00:51:30: What did get inspiration to create something like a hip hop jewel You know?
00:51:35: Yeah!
00:51:37: Again goes back to original conversation Me basically taking my own advice.
00:51:42: So I'm like, you know what?
00:51:43: I want to create something that people can play in public spaces.
00:51:57: Mm-hmm.
00:52:01: You know what I'm saying?
00:52:10: It's just a reality, you know what i'm sayin'?
00:52:17: So that is why I want to create an album called Hennessy and Her.
00:52:22: And Hennessies obviously my favorite drink... ...and her.
00:52:25: it actually hip hop!
00:52:27: On the album I am referring to Hip Hop as its female.. ..and im talking about the complicated relationship That us as creators have with the craft that we love.
00:52:37: And even if you, you know hurts can be anything to you it's your passion is your hobby.
00:52:42: We all have that tug of war with a hobby.
00:52:44: You know what I'm saying?
00:52:45: Or our passion where its like.
00:52:46: If you're putting in this work Your love or your passion overlooking you Oh oh oh you are in love with her at one moment This and That and thats really just What It Is.
00:53:00: Its definitely from an underdog perspective And the double on Tundra is that at the end of day, when life it's all said and done.
00:53:09: At the end in a day sometimes what you have is Hennessy & Her which is your drink-of choice... ...and your passion.
00:53:19: You know I mean?
00:53:20: That was the concept.
00:53:21: but I'm super excited.
00:53:23: people are enjoying this album!
00:53:24: I really pushed my creativity.. ..I produced an album.... I wrote all of the R&B elements so all those choruses All of them.
00:53:33: It's all my writing, you know what I mean?
00:53:35: And i'm glad people are receiving it the way I intended.
00:53:39: Yeah yeah he did a nice job man.
00:53:40: It is good because You took risk doing that adding to your Vibes but she did so well man
00:53:48: Thankyou!
00:53:49: I recommend everybody go listen too Because its kind of like a brush or fresh air ya'know.
00:53:53: Like its just good music and as you said Its type of music that can please everyone here Not only hip hop fans, you know what I'm saying?
00:54:03: Like everybody can, right to it.
00:54:06: And that was my goal is like if i go To a public space...I'll go to a brunch or night club.
00:54:15: Do artists in our communities have A body of work That could be played In those spaces?
00:54:23: The answer's generally no Or maybe they had one record But they're not even focusing on it because their chasing that mixtape sound.
00:54:33: So I was just like yo fuck dat, imma.
00:54:36: create a whole body of work ten records from one to ten.
00:54:41: That are kinda all public space things.
00:54:43: and you got everything on there.
00:54:46: You know that classic R&B vibe with left lane action?
00:54:49: You've got the records close to me Which is like a trackmaster record.
00:54:54: or New York summer A new jack swing song Right?
00:54:57: Then you got Old School Love, which is talking about the first time he fell in love with hip-hop.
00:55:04: And that's like a summertime barbecue record.
00:55:07: then I got Across The Sky Which is... That one record isn't about Hip Hop but my wife.
00:55:14: It was more of an acoustic song where like I could go with a live band, you know what i mean?
00:55:19: And then the last record of forever and ever is story about being in the hood with your girl.
00:55:26: People try to rob you... You know what im saying?
00:55:28: I end up shooting out, killing my girlfriend.. I kill myself at the end of this song!
00:55:33: So that's how I ended the album.
00:55:34: so you got all those different elements.
00:55:36: Storytelling, acoustic vibes, party vibes, new
00:55:43: jack swing.... That's a great album, I recommend everybody to go listen.
00:55:48: We got close with me on spinning in the Mixed Aperiq show.
00:55:52: we get that channel rotation man.
00:55:53: so people out there are gonna be listening to that in France and all over Europe.
00:56:00: you already know man.
00:56:01: i gotta support The Real!
00:56:02: You took risks doing it.
00:56:05: It is a great sounding album.
00:56:06: like you said you can please everyone.
