00:31:36: I have to ask You may not have a tradition in this show then it has too old my guests.
00:31:41: So who is your all-time favorite DJ man?
00:31:46: My all time favorite DJ...I gotta say ummm.. I want to say DJ Scratch.
00:32:00: Let me PMD.
00:32:01: Yes, sir.
00:32:03: Because you know that's the first time I've seen some antics like that ever done.
00:32:09: Him and Kid Capri are my two favorite DJs.
00:32:12: Okay.
00:32:12: They scratch and kid capri on all of our two favorite djs.
00:32:17: My third DJ after that will be The DJ from UTFO.
00:32:24: Oh my god!
00:32:26: I'm forgetting his name.
00:32:28: I want to say DJ Ice.
00:32:30: is that it?
00:32:30: But DJ from new TFOs was one of my favorites.
00:32:35: those three DJ's are my favorite DJ.
00:32:37: Okay, that's a solid top tree right there man.
00:32:41: Yeah You know I used to I Used to watch DJ scratch.
00:32:44: no doing the routines man this guy is crazy
00:32:46: man.
00:32:47: He's one of those guys like we communicate with your aliens.
00:32:50: if they have a touch
00:32:55: different He's not normal at all.
00:32:59: We'll talk, man.
00:33:00: And I have another mixtape panic question for you... Okay?
00:33:04: ...I think- I know the answer to this but i'm still gonna ask it.
00:33:07: Do u- do you miss the mixtapes format?
00:33:11: Um Yes because normally mixed Because of what mixtaps were used before You know mixtas were used for The setup basically To set up for album lot Back in a days.
00:33:24: Normally when had an Album coming out You never would able hear the artists and anything else.
00:33:30: But then when The Mixed Tapes started coming out, you started hearing the artist on Mixed Taps prior to their album dropping.
00:33:37: so yeah I kind of missed that format And i wish it would come back.
00:33:42: for now.
00:33:43: You know if there's any sense?
00:33:45: When It does Come Back its more about breaking new artists and actually Artists that are already just letting people know they still have brand-new music.
00:33:57: I'm noticing that they're popping up all over the place though on the internet.
00:34:01: Like, i've seen a lot of these mixtapes in Orphan you know or see my name tagged it to somebody's page and its about a mixtape but im like oh okay cool at least They are still out there promoting their music And letting people know that.
00:34:13: um Im still out here doing what ive gotta do.
00:34:16: Yeah yeah man You know I think mixtaps will never going be dead ya know?
00:34:21: Like few days ago I was on instagram checking out Smith & Wesson you knows page And Tech said that he got a mixtape dropping with DJ Turo.
00:34:31: So you know, I've also seen DJ Drama a few months ago He dropped some shit too in the game so it ain't going nowhere man The mixtapes are here til last
00:34:41: bro.
00:34:42: Good thats good.
00:34:44: And to you what makes a dope mixtape?
00:34:47: What do want hear when you press play on tape?
00:34:51: When i'm pressed play on a tape...I don't wanna hear.
00:34:54: I wanna hear the artist step outside the box.
00:34:57: because you know how normally when you hear an artist they're doing particulars on their album but normally, in a mixtape don't want any beating.
00:35:05: let them get busy.
00:35:06: You know what I'm saying?
00:35:07: Have to step out side of boxing and just throw something that way or for the artists do something that they won't normally do on their albums.
00:35:15: on the mixtapes i look forward to stuff like
00:35:17: this.
00:35:18: Do think it's because mixtaps are giving more freedom to the artist?
00:35:22: Oh yeah Well in this day and age you're understanding that it's more so about doing your own thing.
00:35:30: I think the artists love The freedom of the mixtapes not only to freedom, the nostalgia Of them mixtaps And understandin' That its being brought back To the DJ & the artist Right?
00:35:44: Cause normally Artists are going there and be like yeah i got a mixtape Im puttin out!
00:35:48: And they just Be the Artist and the Artist songs.
00:35:50: But i Think that the dj plays an intricate part in this whole mixtape series thing that's been going on since day one.
00:35:57: Because you'd hear the DJ come over there, he would introduce who is on it and blend all of his songs... It was a welcoming vibe from the DJ first before anything else or even here as an artist.
00:36:09: so I love that.
00:36:11: about the mixtapes especially with the DJs at the intro.
00:36:17: Yeah, we're talking about things that are needed.
00:36:20: You just dropped a new album but maybe... We can expect the mixtape from you with unreleased tracks or freestyles and stuff like that.
00:36:29: Did you think of it?
00:36:31: A lot people ask me to do this.
00:36:32: now I'm jumping on different rhythms and murdering them.
00:36:36: They say why don't they do a mixtapes?
00:36:40: But what i want is see how open everybody is to me just jumping on different shit, you know what I mean?
00:36:46: And the response has been good and very good.
00:36:50: So i might do a mixtape You never know.
00:36:52: but I want to try something different.
00:36:54: if I do A mixtape ,I wanna Do a miXTAPE with like four or five DJs On the same Mixtape Right where yeah... I do half hip-hop and half reggae Where the Hip Hop DJ's intro The hip hop side that The dancehall DJs and show the dancehall side to be different.
00:37:12: I don't want to do something regular, you know what i'm saying?
00:37:15: So when it comes to marketing and promotion You have all the djs basically marketing promoting each other because the biggest problem is getting djs together right.
00:37:26: What if a particular project that they're working on in their market and promoting eachother then They'll basically Have A Different Love And Understanding For Each Other When It Comes To That Part Of The Culture.
00:37:39: For sure man, and all the real hip-hop DJs know how DJ started in Hip Hop.
00:37:43: You know it's all because of reggae DJs.
00:37:45: you know what I mean?
00:37:46: Like people don't even know that artists are DJs!
00:37:50: In Jamaica and all in the Caribbean man... DJS ARE THE HARDEST.
00:37:53: they're the one that's hosting talking shit on their rhythm.
00:37:58: People don't know that man.
00:37:59: That's to strengthen.
00:38:00: your music is like.
00:38:02: you can blend both styles..you can rap on reggae you can sing on hip-hop beats.
00:38:08: You know what I mean?
00:38:10: And i think that, where the majority of the resurgence is coming from people who didn't know they could do that are now knowing it's about time for me to be putting out music.
00:38:31: non stop just let go.
00:38:34: Yeah, man.
00:38:34: And I heard the new project.
00:38:36: bro like.
00:38:37: it's so dope and i think you one of The few that can actually come up with this type Of music in do-it-the right way.
00:38:44: You know we've seen We've seen how these are been trying to rap on.
00:38:48: you Know dancehall joints or reggae beats but the way you do It is different.
00:38:53: That what makes the strength of your music Is that?
00:38:56: I don't Think anybody else Can really Do the things that should do In terms of melodies Rhyme patterns in terms of flows, all that you know.
00:39:06: like it's very unique.
00:39:08: Thank You man.
00:39:09: I appreciate the...I try my best to make sure everything That i do sounds totally different from The last one.
00:39:15: and then i'm actually you Know i want to uphold a culture on both sides hip-hop and a dance or something.
00:39:21: And im saying because they're both cousins Im not separating them both But just so let people know.
00:39:28: you know, kids that are coming up that have West Indian lineage when they listen to me.
00:39:33: They're like yo!
00:39:34: That's an MC I liked because i hear myself in him.
00:39:36: You know what I mean?
00:39:37: A person who comes straight-up hip hop When he listens and be like
00:39:42: Yo!!
00:39:42: Thats a person that I like Because He can feed both.
00:39:46: So...
00:39:48: Yeah.. You Can Touch Both Markets.
00:39:50: Yes Sir
00:39:52: What do you think about the the whole european hip-hop scene and reggae scene?
00:39:57: because out there in france for example, hip hop is music that's most listened by people but also reggae.
00:40:03: it very big out here.
00:40:04: so what do you think about the whole European thing?
00:40:08: I have no problem with this.
00:40:09: There are some like um... What's a dance song called?
00:40:14: What was his name?
00:40:14: Ambrosia or Ambrose?
00:40:16: Yeah Albo Ozi i think its name
00:40:20: right.
00:40:20: yeah
00:40:21: when I heard him, i was like yo where the hell is he from?
00:40:24: and then they told me that he was european.
00:40:25: And i was just like.
00:40:27: you know it's more cultural thing.
00:40:30: there's nothing else.
00:40:30: this more of a cultural thing.
00:40:32: if you love the music and you love how it makes you feel and you connect and you can write that and that's what comes out?
00:40:38: Then That's What Comes Out!
00:40:39: I don't care...I Don't Care Where You're From.
00:40:42: you Know as long As You Keep It Authentic.
00:40:44: Thats The Thing Right Because You Can Tell If A Person Is Trying You need to go back, but you know what I don't have a problem with as the artists emerging from where they emerge because it's a cultural thing and if They're part of the culture then so be
00:40:59: it.
00:41:00: Yep And they can always introduce new people to the culture not for the ones that didn't know about them.
00:41:06: But i'm saying when first heard Alborozzi like this song called Marirana That very popular, you know?
00:41:15: I Didn't think he was it from Europe.
00:41:17: He is from Italy.
00:41:20: We have a guy in France called Bigger Ranks.
00:41:24: Sounds familiar?
00:41:25: Yeah, he's the white French dude and they got their ill voice.
00:41:28: you know like I'm like damn bro!
00:41:33: And when can we expect you in Europe Bro?
00:41:36: because people fuck with your music out there.
00:41:38: Listen i am just waiting for the right promoter to come up with the right mindset understanding what im trying to do.
00:41:47: I don't have no problem coming out there and do what i need to because it's music gonna run.
00:41:53: We've got tons of music we're about to drop within the next couple weeks, not even months but weeks that were about to be dropped you know?
00:42:01: The right promoters are just going to come up on the table and understand what im trying to do.
00:42:06: You Know What I Mean?
00:42:07: For me before I perform...I rather have a workshop.
00:42:14: Listen Out And Talk for About A Good Ten or Twenty Minutes.
00:42:17: I need to ask me any question in the world.
00:42:19: Just don't come pay to see me and then you go home, get to know me!
00:42:23: You know what I'm saying?
00:42:24: Well, how is it like when we talk for twenty minutes?
00:42:27: they let me do this show.
00:42:28: so now that you leave...you know..I know him.
00:42:32: His life, his likes....I know he thinks about fear or freedom or people or love rather than anything else.
00:42:42: Let's share Let's share truth before anything, not just oh you like my song.
00:42:48: No I want you to understand who i am as a person.
00:42:51: so if they're promoters out there that are willing to do that let's Do it!

00:43:18: He went in perform You know?
00:43:19: We sat on how to come but i was able To ask him questions about life.

00:50:57: Time has time.
00:50:58: Time is ticking around us.
00:51:00: Whether i close my eyes or am awake, time is still there.

00:51:05: whether i closed my eyes Or am awake.
00:51:07: Age Is Still There.
00:51:09: but The the component that should compel you, should be your creativity and your belief in yourself.
00:51:16: You know what I mean?
00:51:17: And i have crazy beliefs for myself... ...and im a deep believer of God.
00:51:22: so since it was given to me from Him....I know its going to be timeless whatever is that I do.
