00:40:08: And then they're not all gonna positive.

00:40:11: some people wasnt good interaction But I need the majority to be good interactions where something was birthed because we met each other, right?

00:40:21: So two people met and some third thing happened.

00:40:24: Because those two people meant and it mutually benefited the situation contributing others is important which is why do you work out during today?

00:40:34: You see what i'm saying.

00:40:35: so It's so important that contribute To The Table.

00:40:39: I always Was a person who likes to do my favorites first Because I need to know that i've contributed.

00:40:46: Yeah, I don't want anything from the situation unless... ...I know that I have contributed

00:40:50: For sure.

00:40:51: yeah you like too.

00:40:52: You have a real human relationship and things they sense

00:40:57: And just happen to put music into it?

00:40:59: Yeah!

00:40:59: What do you do in your community?

00:41:02: The work you're doing in the community really inspire you To

00:41:06: write

00:41:07: those lyrics That we hear on albums or mixtapes

00:41:09: and all of them.

00:41:11: Um.. I think goes the other way around because I was writing, from a place that wanted to be.

00:41:22: Right?

00:41:23: I think we all are.

00:41:24: everybody in hip-hop started off writing dreams right?

00:41:29: You wrote your reality but then you wrote your way out which is the dream and i feel like always want it being position to do more.

00:41:38: so I wrote that way when I start doing work.

00:41:43: it started to make old songs, made a different kind of sense.

00:41:46: Right?

00:41:46: So I finally kinda became what i was working for and now because I do so much training at learning in the field... ...I feel like.. ..I am.... I now incorporate little bit more language & understanding into some other things that are right.

00:42:03: Hoping people can take back from music and apply when they turn their music off.

00:42:09: Yeah for sure!

00:42:09: I think thats the umm.

00:42:11: The best compliment we can get from people that listen to our music is when the lyrics and overall music really touches their soul.

00:42:20: And sometimes I think you had it in your

00:42:21: career,

00:42:22: People send messages on your inbox or real life too!

00:42:26: And they tell yo'listen.

00:42:27: When i heard this song was at a special moment of my life.

00:42:31: It helped me go through some shit You know?

00:42:34: Absolutely I've had people that have done that.

00:42:38: And we got to really build and connect on the fact... ...that i was going through something similar when i wrote it.

00:42:43: So, The fact that we kinda walked together as a blessing.

00:42:47: Yup!

00:42:48: And funny part is just opposite of same coin right?

00:42:51: Like..I needed get out he need hear so it worked out.

00:42:55: Yup.

00:42:56: Yeah man think its most beautiful thing.

00:42:58: you're doing music stuff like this.

00:43:00: I touched your soul.

00:43:01: even people from all across the globe can relate to what you're saying.

00:43:05: Maybe you guys had a different life, if you lived in a different country.

00:43:08: but those subjects that should talk about they can relate and I can help them be more positive in their lives.

00:43:15: so it's such wonderful thing man

00:43:17: When i was young first of all shout out my man dog over at Africa.

00:43:22: he checks-in on the regular basis on some life connection like these are huge mic hands fans And it's a life connection like we've contributed to things that they had going on during crisis in his family.

00:43:35: and you know Shout out rest of peace big Bob.

00:43:39: Like, we used to really connect with him.

00:43:41: so um He still checks in.

00:43:43: I see them all my timeline today.

00:43:45: But shout him out.

00:43:46: since you mentioned that visceral connection across the world.

00:43:51: but i feel like That anchor is important.

00:43:57: like that's all that matters.

00:43:58: if your not That that and like immediate gratification is shows right.

00:44:04: we perform so that we can immediately get the reaction back from The people.

00:44:09: but there's nothing like knowing that the music resonated And it bounces back to you.

00:44:15: It makes you feel like you want to write something else.

00:44:19: This how you evolve isn't as a

00:44:21: emcee,

00:44:22: an artist in general And talking about making connections, you know linking up with people in different countries.

00:44:30: I know your work for some of my fellow French producers.

00:44:34: You know London cover.

00:44:35: he did a project

00:44:37: with him.

00:44:38: How did that come?

00:44:39: About like.

00:44:39: how do you guys connect and what made you want to create this project?

00:44:43: so first off London cover.

00:44:44: shout out London cover the whole Sysmograph.

00:44:47: family past and present Conspey everybody over there it was all love.

00:44:52: like um Came across this McGrath.

00:44:57: Honestly, they were here in the States shooting freestyles and Shabam Sadeep shout-out.

00:45:05: Shabham Had a record.

00:45:08: he did with my folks Bangkok family skanks for rap martyr and them And I went but Shabbam to her video shoot.

00:45:15: I ended up spitting on the freestyle.

00:45:20: That's when our first encounter run to cover into small graph that free style.

00:45:25: job deal what it is now.

00:45:27: Fast forward, my man St.

00:45:30: Ivan did a project called The Inevitable with London Colour which was crazy.

00:45:36: When he did the release party He asked me if I would call Atlanta Release Party for him.

00:45:41: So i went over to Paris with them and we killed it Like We Killed It like.

00:45:46: I feel like Ivan's show is so crazy.

00:45:48: An incredible shout out St.Ivan That I felt that both of us just went in.

00:45:54: So it was on a heat accident.

00:45:55: We went, rocked out which is first time overseas.

00:45:58: so I was proud to be part of that.

00:46:01: Of course we got to live intimately with the undercouple in Systema Graph and get closer And we recorded few things while were there.

00:46:09: like yo!

00:46:10: Might as well do whole project before you knew it.

00:46:14: Cold Never Timeless was finished.

00:46:17: That's solid project right there man.

00:46:19: Thank You brother i appreciate.

00:46:21: Yeah, man.

00:46:22: I remember i spent some of those joints in the show.

00:46:26: It was dope man.

00:46:27: and what can we expect like?

00:46:28: Some more work with you an overseas producer Like You told me were in Paris.

00:46:32: like when can We expect to back out there?

00:46:35: well if i'm looking forward To getting back over this soon When i have a euro toy that we're booking up now Shoutout my bushbabies family dollar band music families.

00:46:44: so we got something we working on.

00:46:45: shout-out.

00:46:46: um I can't even tell you who else in the package, but we've been working on something extremely hip up.

00:46:52: Um, I'm honored to be a part of that.

00:46:53: so that's going.

00:46:54: get me back into region II have some work right?

00:47:01: So let's really get to it.

00:47:03: my original French producers were once called alter beats.

00:47:07: now they're call Whitbeats .So We had a group called The Alter Unit ,so That was DK myself, Nick the exotic and Shabam Sadiq So that they did all of my earlier stuff to me and Sean Price.

00:47:25: stop Me and rock.

00:47:28: All I know is like, they did a lot of really great visuals And stuff on the even design my logo.

00:47:38: Then i did work with With um kyle otachi.

00:47:43: so i got her project in a stash with kyle

00:47:46: Nice

00:47:47: But we haven't released yet.

00:47:49: In venom.

00:47:50: shout out Venom as well.

00:47:52: Yeah, shout-out Venom.

00:47:53: He just dropped his album.

00:47:54: shit is crazy

00:47:55: always

00:47:56: always crazy Always.

00:47:59: they never miss a step nope.

00:48:00: So you know there's this couple of really good cats.

00:48:04: You know I got some joints with you in the stash so it isn't this one.

00:48:08: There's some good music tied over there Just like I have some folks in Italy that i've done Some great work with.

00:48:14: shout out fast cuts and um glory hole wrecked up over there.

00:48:20: A lot of great work in Australia, shout out Optimistic over there.

00:48:24: We just dropped the Optimistic myself and met them at record no bullshit.

00:48:28: And so that's doing well.

00:48:30: So yeah I'm always looking to connect with my Paris people and Euro people Just people worldwide but i definitely have fun when Im in Paris.

00:48:42: Yeah man

00:48:43: you got fans out there.

00:48:44: People rock with you.

00:48:45: You know some of the dopest beat makers in France Rock With You Man.

00:48:49: No, that's love.

00:48:50: Keep up the great work

00:48:51: man!

00:48:52: Thank you Kane!

00:48:53: And let me ask you like is there a difference on working with an overseas producer

00:48:58: or

00:48:59: hometown producer?

00:49:00: Like your guy who lives in the States what's the difference

00:49:03: on... Accessibility That number one.

00:49:07: I get to vibe into studio where producers here versus Overseas.

00:49:14: The wait time it little different because a twelve-hour difference, so to speak.

00:49:20: And then there's the... Well six hour but.. Then there is the production time right?

00:49:28: The immediate gratification piece.

00:49:29: when I get something over here and have to wait for them do their work or send it back Here i'll watch the producer doing his job if need be.

00:49:38: But sound wise!

00:49:41: It feels like its'a solid emulation of East Coast hip hop West Coast Hip Hop.

00:49:49: So there really is no difference.

00:49:51: There, I just think honestly overseas producers go harder at it because they don't.

00:49:57: sometimes you can take it for granted when you have it right in front of your right.

00:50:02: but Because the overseas produces had a whole ocean between them and the origin i feel like they compensate For the distance with the work They put.

00:50:14: You understand what I mean?

00:50:15: To create the energy and feel like they're across-the-water, and close to gaps.

00:50:19: So...I really feel that there's a passion piece over the business pieces still very prevalent in overseas hip hop.

00:50:31: Yeah, yeah.

00:50:32: Don't talk man!

00:50:32: I think you know beatmakers from Paris kind of had an influence by the Queens Bridge sound.

00:50:40: Like Core Omega nature those guys with the greedy piano that we hear, violins and stuff like that.

00:50:47: They were heavy influenced by that.

00:50:49: so they have a kind of their own touch.

00:50:51: but at the same time you say it's an emulation on what is going in the East

00:50:55: Coast.

00:50:56: But its respectful It not an emulation or something fake.

00:51:00: Its this reincarnation or clone type That has the same DNA

00:51:06: A legacy.

00:51:07: You know there will

00:51:09: still be.

00:51:09: Yeah This definitely hads the same dna.

00:51:13: And before anything else, I have to shout out DJ Modesty.

00:51:18: He was my earliest DJ from overseas still in the South of France if i'm ever on that reach.

00:51:24: and that's who's DJing for me?

00:51:26: um That's a pack we made long time ago.

00:51:29: We got a lot of early records.

00:51:30: we did each cut cutting scratched almost all my earlier records.

00:51:34: so modesty is by far one Of our favorite overseas djs that has rock with hands the whole way

00:51:43: Yep.

00:51:43: To the other people that have been telling me about DJ Matastee, you know I know

00:51:47: he's an incredible producer too.

00:51:48: Yeah i remember talking to Imam Thug.

00:51:50: He told me it was dope and a super nice human being too.

00:51:54: Now are you talkin' about him?

00:51:55: Very much Any

00:51:56: hell of a ball player?

00:51:57: Okay Nice

00:51:58: That's the queen guard that'll put one on you.

00:52:00: so

00:52:02: Nice You play basketball too

00:52:03: ?

00:52:04: I did all through high school.

00:52:08: I played I think eleven years too

00:52:10: man.

00:52:11: Yeah, roughly like that.

00:52:12: I played until my knees gave out.

00:52:15: Well not with my knee but my ankle so i feel the pain.

00:52:20: I don't even go by to park no more it hurts he just hurts.

00:52:23: i have to be able play.

00:52:24: yeah you take one rebound two rebounds and thats it.

00:52:27: then we get a couple shots and move off.

00:52:32: Do you have any advice makers?

00:52:34: We've been talking about, you know, MCs from overseas and all that.

00:52:37: Do we have any advise for the young upcoming MC's who are probably listening to us right now?

00:52:43: That is hard to say because first thing people think of as older MC' s has a problem with younger MC'.

00:52:50: And it isn't really the case.

00:52:51: I don't care how much they say what you said As long as your saying something like thats.

00:52:57: the only thing i hold people accountable For Say Something Like music is a communication art.

00:53:03: It's an art of communication, and if people don't understand what you're saying then You do not communicate.

00:53:09: it's cool to have vibe as cool that has feel.

00:53:11: its cool To have all that.

00:53:13: but the art isn't being able to paint with words.

00:53:18: so when you can connect with words And you can meld with Music Do it all at the same time?

00:53:28: to create connection With People.

00:53:31: That's where the definitive parts of art come out because people are gonna get tired.

00:53:37: You're only going to jump around but so long Before you got a sit down and gotta still make sense once you sit down.

00:53:43: So yeah, just I don't care what you say or how he said.

00:53:46: conversation ain't my concern But make sure your saying something that people can walk away with.

00:53:52: Yeah, like you know some thing that people came relate too, you know Like we said earlier something that

00:53:57: touches your

00:53:57: soul, and maybe the authenticity we talked about

00:54:00: too.

00:54:02: I just want people to use their music.

00:54:04: part of me... ...to take other places like don't repeat the same thing.

00:54:09: Take them somewhere.

00:54:11: They're relying on you.

00:54:12: You got a platform, they've got their ear.

00:54:14: Take em' somewhere.

00:54:16: Music can make you travel without leaving your house.

00:54:18: man Give em's somethin' they didn't have when he turned you off.

00:54:22: Yup, you'll talk man And you told me it had a lot on your plate, project for Kyo Itachi all that stuff.

00:54:29: What can we expect from you the rest of twenty-twenty six and the years beyond?

00:54:35: Man so because I was down after my recovery for a little bit i kind of backed away So a lot of stuff got back up in traffic.

00:54:46: The next album that I'm working on actually revealed to title on an interview last night.

00:54:52: Well yesterday before.

00:54:53: Well, Christopolis Parabellum is the name of the next album.

00:54:58: There's no peace without war and I'm excited about it because this was my first project since Golden Era full studio album.

00:55:08: so i am ready to let that go.

00:55:09: there are best of Mike Haines' and Rock Nest projects on the way tying up the ends.

00:55:16: some records you already have from us in a couple new ones we did especially for this.

00:55:24: There's a best of um.

00:55:28: Act Out Record is gonna be re-released from the Golden Era record, which is the me and MOP record.

00:55:35: I'm looking to add Billy Danz to round out the MOP.

00:55:39: Nice

00:55:39: so it'll be fame.

00:55:40: we already have Teflon We have Dredi Kruger.

00:55:44: But i'm looking at put Billy on The Remastered And...I Have A Full Boot Camp Remix Of The uh..the record that we're mixing and mastering now.

00:55:55: So, you know the same way you mentioned Depp Squad.

00:55:57: I'm definitely trained in a boot camp before all of it.

00:56:00: so... Yup.

00:56:01: Boot Camp for life!

00:56:02: You know how that goes?

00:56:03: For sure.

00:56:04: Yeah um That's crazy.

00:56:07: so i have Rocknest Steel General Steel and Tech on that one with me.

00:56:12: so that remix is going to be crazy.

00:56:14: so I'll have full MOP A side And a full bootcamp feature On The B Side Which I feel like its epic and its own right for hip hop fan.

00:56:23: Um, there's a mixtape that is going to be available with the album.

00:56:28: That you'll get free download.

00:56:30: I was about to ask if he had any mixtapes going on.

00:56:33: Yeah so it called history lesson.

00:56:36: shout out DJ Platt Who one of my earlier producers who grew up in the background.

00:56:41: So we're reconnecting this project series And its history lessons.

00:56:45: and what i'm doing Is i am going through One of my hard drives dates back to two thousand eight And we're pulling, mixing and mastering some of those records plus some new records that Platt produced to create a history lesson which is you know as it sounds.

00:57:01: It's just walking people through songs in history that got me here.

00:57:06: Some have been heard but I never put them out.

00:57:08: But...I don't think anything should die on the hard drive.

00:57:11: According to Sean Price.

00:57:13: Rest In Peace.

00:57:14: Sean told me he'd pull everything down.

00:57:17: So that's what we're gonna do.

00:57:19: We want to just package it all up and put them

00:57:22: out.

00:57:22: Yeah man, just flood the internet.

00:57:24: you know Flood the fans with new music.

00:57:26: That is why are waiting for And make sure send me those records.

00:57:30: I need world premiere before release some shit.

00:57:48: So I'll make sure you get your copies of those once we have the masters back.
