00:29:05: He's long in the game like he is a known DJ here at The Netherlands.

00:29:24: uh....He had a connect.

00:29:26: I forgot his name on this group but He had a connect with the hip-hop group at Tanzania, you see.

00:29:32: And I've been doing shows back in the days as an emcee also as producer and he was DJing behind set.

00:29:44: so that's how i know him man!

00:29:45: That is how i knew him.

00:29:46: He has big support, humble guy, true guy You know?

00:29:54: When people have their heart on right spot You know what I'm saying?

00:29:57: I love to work with people like that, because thats where the work begins.

00:30:02: If your heart is on a right spot... Yeah!

00:30:06: you can do some work.

00:30:07: if it's not in the right place then its gonna be difficult.

00:30:10: Do you know what i mean?

00:30:11: Yeah bro we gotta do things with passion and love for music.

00:30:16: first of all man some type of greed in you or, y'know gotta do it for the passion then money will come but... Gotta come from the heart man and I think people are feeling that.

00:30:27: Y'know like.. People aren't that stupid they can feel when something is authentic And when its made by somebody thats passionate about music Not only hip-hop But just music in general.

00:30:38: i mean people can tell You know?

00:30:40: Truly very true man Very True.

00:30:42: So yeah

00:30:44: man he's my guy He's my brother.

00:30:47: I can tell he's mbrother.

00:30:48: ya see We call each other bro, everything.

00:30:52: but who can you really call brother?

00:30:54: So that's just where it starts.

00:30:57: Shout out to him and whenever he got some music or whatever we get on the side make sure you email me so I'll play stuff on this show.

00:31:06: You know what is it man?

00:31:07: Show us some love.

00:31:08: Truly give thanks!

00:31:11: And i have another mixtape question for all of y'all but I'm still gonna ask it to you.

00:31:17: Do you miss the mixtape format?

00:31:21: —I do, yeah because on The Mixtapes' you just discover new music plus the music might be blended up with recent music or other artists.

00:31:35: so... ...I believe that a mixtape is good way of getting out there and get people introduced as well.

00:31:46: I kind of miss that, but yeah it's streaming days you know.

00:31:50: so It's different than back then.

00:31:55: You see what i mean?

00:31:56: But um Yeah...yeah..I do miss it man!

00:32:02: I think we all missed it.

00:32:03: you know I think artists were...artists and beat makers.

00:32:06: you know Artists in general had more freedom you know.

00:32:08: Back Then can Do whatever you want In the mixtape Use whatever beats Talk about Whatever subjects you wanna talk About with no You know, like no censorship or stuff.

00:32:18: Like that you

00:32:23: know what I mean?

00:32:30: to put the mixtapes going in this digital area.

00:32:50: Yeah, there's many ways you know...to make out the spirit live..you know the miXTAPE Spirit Live.

00:32:56: I see how it is dropping our freestyles on Instagram using industry beats.

00:33:01: And I know some DJs too, when they do shows They have mixtapes on deck and you can only get them at the show.

00:33:08: It's not online or whatever.

00:33:10: If you come to a show You can get special edition mixtape with autograph from the DJ On it.

00:33:15: so that is one way To keep that alive.

00:33:19: Then its exclusive.

00:33:21: Yeah i think people like that Especially in this era.

00:33:25: Do

00:33:26: you see it?

00:33:28: People start doing more exclusive stuff you know, putting things on vinyl even put in things on cassette tapes.

00:33:36: Just to give it that more feel of back-in-the-day and make something that is not totally out there You know?

00:33:45: And I think... That might be the exclusiveness and reaching out to artists directly.

00:33:54: There may have been a thing coming into the future.

00:33:57: It's already happening you see, I see more people start doing it.

00:34:01: You know?

00:34:03: I think people like to have some type of exclusivity with the artists.

00:34:08: they'd like to stay closer to the artist by buying stuff that's having an autograph on it or buying directly from the artist website.

00:34:17: It creates a special relationship with people That is going past the test-of times.

00:34:25: Like can go along way

00:34:27: Exactly, exactly.

00:34:30: You know and you could really follow the artist.

00:34:34: people like to get to know the artists really instead of having a certain distance.

00:34:41: so the closer you come through the artist more interesting.

00:34:47: That's something that needs to be done and we need to keep doing it.

00:34:54: Artists have to do this.

00:34:55: I believe in

00:34:57: Yep, for sure.

00:34:58: And what about you?

00:34:58: Like are you planning on releasing maybe like a compilation of mixtape or something that's physical, you know, like vinyl from your past productions unreleased stuff whatever?

00:35:10: I didn't really thought about that to be honest because i'm busy with so many things.

00:35:16: You see just life in general.

00:35:19: But uh...I do know that I got so much music.

00:35:23: I need to do something with it That's for sure.

00:35:26: So yeah, I'm busy with this concept called Seven Days of Beat.

00:35:33: Got that concept running and might be dropping some... Yeah!

00:35:38: Some instrumentals on it.

00:35:41: usually what i've been dropping is like seven beats for seven days in just multiple series to say so.

00:35:52: but I feel like yes..I can put more on the tape.

00:35:55: You see, because of seven days a beat.

00:35:59: But you know I can put twenty-one then it's like three weeks off beats...you know what i'm saying?

00:36:04: So something bad and me wow!

00:36:07: I just work on my craft that works out my sound..I worked with a soul artist right now so.... On the different level to be honest is not only about the beat making.

00:36:23: It's quite interesting, the whole process.

00:36:26: Yeah it is different when you work with an artist especially your solo artists or NB people that sing You know?

00:36:31: You gotta be more creative in terms of music producing and get a leave space for the artist to sing on it.

00:36:38: And its really hard job man!

00:36:40: To finally be like stop I'm gonna stop here not having anything else y'know?

00:36:46: Y'know how we... Music producers are.

00:36:50: We wanna fill the beat because Usually we just think instrumentally and want to create that excitement in the music.

00:37:01: Once you have an artist, they will do it.

00:37:03: but if there's no artists try find a way.

00:37:07: fill with twinkies here or there.

00:37:10: once the artist is dead then its really important.

00:37:12: leave space.

00:37:15: less is more

00:37:16: Exactly, exactly.

00:37:17: But it's a hard thing to do.

00:37:19: you know less is more.

00:37:20: It's something that not a lot of people can really understand because its super-hard To Do That.

00:37:25: we remember guys like uh You Know DJ muster for example.

00:37:30: He hits back to Back to Back and when you listen to the beat there are Not Too Many Elements in There but enough to make The Heart Is Breathe And Create Something Dope.

00:37:40: True, true, yeah man Its a skill to do that You know, and it's a skill to really create solid joint too.

00:37:50: Something that works.

00:37:52: you have to check the arrangements... How do I say this?

00:38:01: The climax in the joint where is coming?

00:38:05: what?

00:38:05: so That another level of producing In my opinion can make the beat to really make that song a song, yeah.

00:38:15: That's another level you know?

00:38:19: Yep I like to do it in the studio.

00:38:21: You know being with an artist can be a rapper or a singer whatever and explain your vision for the artists work together In this same room To create magic.

00:38:31: It is better than working on just the internet sending out beats.

00:38:35: Yeah i feel like too man its such dope thing to explain your vision and see that your vision is also accepted.

00:38:47: Your vision has taken serious, you have it going back-and-forth before you know what?

00:38:52: You've got something built there... That's a dope move!

00:39:02: We as music producers beat makers combine that.

00:39:08: There you have a good force, because if you made the beat and it's full now you're going to strip out this space for artists plus bring them vision.

00:39:20: That is a full package!

00:39:22: Yes

00:39:24: when you create magic

00:39:25: man!

00:39:25: And what did

00:39:29: they say?

00:39:30: Even working with live instruments?

00:39:35: That's what I was about to ask you.

00:39:38: Like, are you planning on working with live musicians to compose your

00:39:42: beats?

00:39:43: Oh well... Yeah actually i do!

00:39:47: I've been doing that back in the days but it is a long time ago You see.

00:39:52: But at this moment It has happened.

00:39:56: right now Actually..I am working with Live artists making music for the live band.

00:40:04: You see, actually like last weekend or the week I was in a studio working with an artist and just hearing the keys.

00:40:15: Hearing the guitar... And you know it wasn't me who did that composition.

00:40:21: but still try to apply this vision of oh man i'm hearin' this here.. I am hearing that there.

00:40:28: That's great job to do!

00:40:33: that's developing your ear, you know for something that uh yeah might stand out or not.

00:40:41: Yeah man maybe on some Quincy Jones type shit do you know what I'm saying?

00:40:47: You know so that don't work!

00:40:51: That's what i like as well.

00:40:53: and with that skill start making your beat is just a different approach again.

00:41:01: because now When I make beats, it's like in a way... ...I just think about the artist.

00:41:10: You know?

00:41:11: Because yeah!

00:41:13: The artists is an instrument as well.

00:41:15: so you know sometimes this just finish Sometimes its just finished and be man-man It's done.

00:41:22: What do we need to do more on next?

00:41:25: On

00:41:26: to the Next Don't think too much don't wait for long.

00:41:30: We can always dive back into it.

00:41:33: but Yeah, when it feels done.

00:41:36: It's done and you can always tap back into it.

00:41:38: but yeah that also Is another skill.

00:41:43: to say that too yourself?

00:41:45: You know like man I don't know what.

00:41:47: now man this is cool.

00:41:47: for now i'm gonna You know

00:41:50: yep But its really hard to stop.

00:41:52: remember watching alchemist interview And somebody asked him Like, when do you know?

00:41:59: When the beat is finished.

00:42:00: And I think he said something about one of his friends that's a painter and asked him this same question.

00:42:06: The painters say it just feels like an emotion goes through my mind in body.

00:42:11: That tells me This Is It!

00:42:13: I'm going to stop now.

00:42:15: Yeah, yeah, yeah...that's the moment.

00:42:19: Its very intuitive thing too.

00:42:21: You know its very intuitive feeling as well.

00:42:26: Well, this is good.

00:42:28: Once you've got the groove and sometimes it's just good to have the groove And later on an artist comes in from there when applying more stuff or less stuff.

00:42:43: But some times really man unless its more.

00:42:50: That what I discovered too.

00:42:51: usually where i create music I try find a groove that doesn't have musical background.

00:42:57: I can't play...I got keys here, but i-i..can't play you know.

00:43:01: I don't know these things so I really have to do it with my feelings.

00:43:05: So usually when I create?

00:43:09: I just go for a certain vibe.

00:43:11: It's like I create vibes and the vibe or me a vibe is based on emotion.

00:43:17: So that's what I work With.

00:43:19: That's What I Worked With.

00:43:20: You See Yeah Try To Get The Emotion To Another Emotion And Connect, you know make sure you can connect the music with for people out there.

00:43:30: Yeah Let me tell you man what I like about your music is that thank you have your.

00:43:35: You know in French we say La Pat?

00:43:37: You know I'm saying like the touch.

00:43:40: You know, when we hear your beats.

00:43:43: We can tell it's you and I think is one of the hardest things to do as a beatmaker because in this era It so many Beatmakers and when he produces everybody wants to Do what's popping now?

00:43:53: You know what i mean And you have our vision In style that

00:43:59: When we hear

00:43:59: the beat we know its you and it's One Of The hardest thing like.

00:44:02: how did you make That happen?

00:44:03: Like when Did you Know That This Was Your Sound?

00:44:06: That's dope To Him Man!

00:44:07: I appreciate that.

00:44:08: thankyou Thank you.

00:44:10: You see, really thank you that's really dope to hear.

00:44:13: but yeah first of all like I make music what i don't listen a lot of music.

00:44:24: it's funny to say But I Don't Listen A Lot Of Music.

00:44:28: when I listen music...I start to listen to music consciously because I'd be like okay let me study something.

00:44:34: do you see what I mean?

00:44:35: Let Me Study Something.

00:44:38: I have my records, and know my stuff.

00:44:42: But that's how i stay in my own lane you see?

00:44:49: That's How I Stay In My Own Lane And like I said it's an intuitive thing.

00:44:54: so when I start creating... ...I literally Have Nothing In My Mind.

00:45:00: So It Just Starts With A Nothinness.

00:45:05: It Really Starts From Okay What Is My Soul feeling on this moment, you know?

00:45:13: You see.

00:45:14: So that's how I start and use elements from everywhere rock house jazz soul whatever it is man Whatever It Is.

00:45:28: so And then i just started to operate.

00:45:32: I do my operation or surgery until it fits That.

00:45:37: what like personally about making the music is that it's a surgery, the creative part.

00:45:45: So you know I'm not really uh...a big fan of just finding and getting a sample or looping put in there with the beat under it?

00:45:57: And like..I'd just like to do something with it.

00:46:02: make sure its gonna be mine.

00:46:04: You Know That i have the feeling oh!

00:46:07: I created this.

00:46:08: another person created the sample But then I recreated it.

00:46:12: You see what i mean?

00:46:13: Yeah, that's what like to do.

00:46:14: only take little parts or whatever and work your way around It.

00:46:19: uh but still respect for those That just use loop And put drums on it under it and make a dope song of it because that's another level too.

00:46:30: yeah Like at that you know.

00:46:31: like we can say We could say like yeah, you know He is only using the loop and he wasn't creative.

00:46:38: So that's another level too.

00:46:43: But personally I just like to dive into my song, don't listen to too much music and do what i have to because this thing came really naturally...I didn't think okay you know..i gotta create my sound.

00:47:02: That is not how it started.

00:47:03: for me

00:47:06: It became naturally

00:47:08: It came natural and of course I have my references, influences.

00:47:14: My links with the music where i grew up with...

00:47:20: ...I

00:47:20: had those things that are definitely influenced but it's not like.

00:47:25: oh!

00:47:27: You know?

00:47:27: I'm going to create this sound because you could hear when it starts eternal But for me I don't have no sound.

00:47:39: I just have my name, you see?

00:47:43: And i can go anywhere because if i dive into my mpc and in my laptop man there's not even hip-hop music.

00:47:52: that is different type of stuff like stuff that you'd be like.

00:47:55: yeah but what kind of genre is this?

00:47:57: You

00:47:59: know producers are like Timberland for real Williams beats.

00:48:04: that don't even sounds like typical hip-hop but at the end of day a rapper is gonna rap on it and he's going to become one of the biggest hip hop classics.

00:48:13: so you never know.

00:48:14: You know, like beats are like Jay Z or dirt off your shoulder when you hear this they don't sound like your typical hip hop beat.

00:48:21: by the end Of The Day It Is Yeah yeah yeah man!

00:48:26: The artist makes it like that you see?

00:48:28: And I believe in that too.

00:48:30: its like...I just make music.

00:48:33: I don't even want to say like hip-hop or, i just make music you see because yeah.

00:48:40: You know?

00:48:41: Like it's quite...I have to be honest It's quite hard for me to make dark beats Don't like When once its coming out..i'll be like damn this dope!

00:48:55: I'm happy with it Because it doesn't happen a lot.

00:48:58: So I just know that I'm in a different environment.

00:49:06: In my head, you see?

00:49:08: Of making music and everybody got that.

00:49:11: You know.

00:49:12: so...I hardly check like i want to make this type..i wanna make that?

00:49:17: No!

00:49:18: Just do me.

00:49:19: That's what I don't think too much.

00:49:22: Once im IN THE MUSIC Then I start thinking ok whats next?

00:49:28: This have come.

00:49:29: then once the creation process is there The moment I start, of course usually i just started with the drums.

00:49:39: I like...I liked the drums to go from knocking..to snarlers....to jazzy drums.....to whatever type of drums maybe only percussion.

00:49:50: I believe that the hardest shit can be based on percussion too you know?

00:49:56: That's why for me it is an emotion its a vibe.

00:49:59: And yeah, that's what I do bro.

00:50:04: Yeah

00:50:05: as you should man like every good producer have their own style of beats Like your not gonna go talk to Nightwander and ask him for a drill or trap beat You know?

00:50:16: Go through him because he want this sound.

00:50:18: Then if you wanna trap shit then go talk with another producer.

00:50:21: You know, if you do a bunch of everything people are not going to be able to recognize.

00:50:26: like I say in French La Pat.

00:50:27: Do you know what i mean?

00:50:28: That's

00:50:31: good!

00:50:31: I'm gonna remember that man.

00:50:32: La Pat!

00:50:33: Yeah

00:50:36: yeah yeah yeah... Do we have any advice for the young upcoming producers?

00:50:40: or maybe listening to us right now?

00:50:44: Man first off all just do you stay close to yourself.

00:50:50: Stay authentic.

00:50:54: Yeah, find your way man.

00:50:55: Just keep doing it.

00:50:56: stay really consistent because you know making beats is a lot of hours.

00:51:04: It's like yeah You might have to go the next day for job and you only slept three hours.

00:51:11: just becuase were so greedy.

00:51:13: do this thing.

00:51:15: Keep doing that for minute until feel okay.

00:51:18: I need balance out you know, because life keeps going.

00:51:21: Your health is important too.

00:51:23: and yeah keep promoting yourself.

00:51:26: stay on the social media.

00:51:28: make sure people see you participate in some beat battles maybe here or there release your music where you can't release Yeah!

00:51:41: And know the business side of music as well You know?

00:51:45: So when something comes up with a pad That's my experience.

00:51:51: Yep, yeah gotta know about the business so you won't get fucked over.

00:51:57: it happens bro.

00:51:59: Yeah of course I hear it happen to everybody man.

00:52:02: So he definitely definitely right to talk about that?

00:52:04: So every young is listening right now.

00:52:06: make sure you know bout the biz.

00:52:08: It's important You Know To keep your legacy going through The test of times Man.

00:52:15: Yes And as a music producer man like you know in The story of hip-hop, like the book of hip hop.

00:52:21: Like what do you want to be remembered for?

00:52:23: You know after everything is done and we all gone... What do you wanna remember as a

00:52:28: music producer?

00:52:32: That's good question man!

00:52:37: I just... that actually something people can decide because it could be multiple things.

00:52:47: but most important You know, it's more about who you are.

00:52:54: Because who-you-are decides what type of music comes out of you and... And you just want to be remembered as one of those producers that was always good with people.

00:53:11: first things First thing Good With People Good Heart Honest.

00:53:21: That's the basis that's the bases.

00:53:23: and when it comes upon When it comes up on The music itself It's like you already said la pot.

00:53:31: Haha, yep

00:53:35: Because I'd be like yeah if you want to make tight beats Then yeah maybe somebody is out there wanna make a Taz eternal type beat.

00:53:48: You see what?

00:53:49: I mean So that's it man, LAPA.

00:53:53: Yeah but they can never duplicate.

00:53:55: It you know is something That's in your mind You Know I mean like the Frequencies that you use The basses the sounds that you used.

00:54:02: Nobody gonna be able to Replicate that you know Like the exact same way?

00:54:06: It's impossible

00:54:07: Exactly, exactly Impossible too authentic Yep But-but thats it Man.

00:54:13: i'll Be like...you know..I think that The legends in this whole game, they all are remembered as like wow.

00:54:22: Yeah that's Pete Rock.

00:54:23: well yeah That's Dylan.

00:54:25: Oh that's Timberland.

00:54:27: oh you see?

00:54:28: That's Premier and everybody got their thing.

00:54:32: You know And thats how the name just stands out To each his own One name is next to other names.

00:54:41: There's no Just one line.

00:54:43: so It's dope to, if you could reach that.

00:54:48: You know like yeah he's one of those that... He always made his own sound and he always stayed true to himself and he didn't copy.

00:54:59: or he don't sound like this.

00:55:00: no it was just.

00:55:01: it's just Ta Zayternal That's It!

00:55:04: Yup, that's what you're doing man.

00:55:05: Like I told ya man... ...I like hearing your beats because it is different You know?

00:55:09: You are not trying to sound like anybody else It's different and there always good vibes!

00:55:12: The fact that you really master the up tempo.

00:55:16: Not so up tempo but y'know what i mean?

00:55:18: It's not slow..it's grooving Y'know I mean?

00:55:20: Like its dope man.

00:55:23: Yeah man gotta keep the tempo up Ya know?

00:55:29: Like mainly when I create it's above nineteen Ninety-six, ninety seven.

00:55:35: You know?

00:55:37: Like ninety eight sometimes hundred and two.

00:55:40: So I just tried to find that That spot...that sweet spot right there To work with that you see And still try.

00:55:49: make it sound Hip hop..you know

00:55:53: Hip hop which your own personal twist?

00:55:55: Exactly exactly!

00:55:59: If want get people to groove on music or to dance, it needs to be up.

00:56:09: and even for the MC I think maybe these days is quite different to rap on an uptempo beat.

00:56:20: Yeah but any good rapper can adapt to the instrumental man.

00:56:24: that's what's good about your music you know.

00:56:27: put some serious rap skills, you know like technical stuff but also people can just enjoy your beats.

00:56:33: Like it could be played in a bar and the club whatever festival... People can have a good time listening to their beats.

00:56:38: It's not only beats that are made to be rapped on You know?

00:56:42: Just listen to them

00:56:45: as well.

00:56:45: That's dope to hear

00:56:47: man!

00:56:48: We almost at the end of this convo.

00:56:51: What do we have coming up in?

00:56:52: twenty-twenty six and beyond?

00:56:55: Well, like I said.

00:56:56: I'm working with a soul artist now.

00:56:58: So that's actually my focus man.

00:57:01: Meanwhile i just keep working on my craft and want to release the instrumental tape.

00:57:06: That is for sure You know gotta be big one.

00:57:11: A lot of instrumentals put it in the map.

00:57:16: But next day Im busy producing Working with this artist.

00:57:23: Keep doing them You know, just keep my socials in check.

00:57:28: These days I'm quite humble on the social you know tapping back into life.

00:57:32: we said a bit yeah My MPC is broken so...I am forced to take a break!

00:57:40: I

00:57:41: am forced To Take A Break but everything for reason i might pick it up next week and from there on It's like Yeah We're gonna bang him out.

00:57:51: Yeah, man.

00:57:54: Make sure you send me those records that she have coming up with your artists.

00:57:57: make sure I spin them in the show

00:57:59: You know?

00:58:00: I will

00:58:03: man!

00:58:03: Do you have any last words for fans across the globe?

00:58:08: Just follow The Joining.

00:58:11: Life is a process so we're just making steps big step small steps each step.

00:58:18: it's a step.

00:58:20: So... just follow The joining.

00:58:21: I just hope you keep enjoying my music as well.

00:58:25: and yeah if you want to link up, send me a DM or whatever for type of project.

00:58:34: Just reach out man.

00:58:35: it's...I'm right here!

00:58:37: You know?

00:58:37: I am right there.

00:58:38: She is a sweet

00:58:40: love!

00:58:41: That's

00:58:43: good
