00:29:20: Look at the kid!

00:29:35: It's in the blood man!

00:29:36: You know what I'm saying?

00:29:37: Like it's in your heart...it is something.

00:29:40: we'll take that shit to The Grave when you're really passionate about something.

00:29:44: Exactly.

00:29:45: Until the end

00:29:45: bro.

00:29:45: Twenty-four hours a day hip hop.

00:29:48: Yes sir yes sir and i have another mixtape added question.

00:29:53: You say What Bro?

00:29:55: Hip Hop this shit..this our culture.

00:29:57: This Is Our Culture.

00:29:58: You Have To Eat Breathe And Shit It.

00:29:59: There No Way To Fake It Like You Can't.

00:30:02: Your real one is gonna tell you know me.

00:30:04: You're not doing this shit.

00:30:05: a hundred percent.

00:30:06: If it's just the hobby we could tell.

00:30:08: but if he really do initiative We gon feel that.

00:30:11: yeah, I agree with that.

00:30:12: man gotta be on the grind.

00:30:14: No twenty-four seven.

00:30:15: if you want to see something happening, you know.

00:30:19: Yeah That's why fuck with up Swift cuz he's at work.

00:30:23: He's a worker boy.

00:30:25: Swift as a beast in there and that studio he beats.

00:30:27: these are always working.

00:30:29: oh

00:30:29: Yeah, yeah he did some solid work man.

00:30:32: For the people that don't know you Swift like what can you tell about your career?

00:30:36: Like all of this stuff you do I'm talking production and life performance Talking a lot about your DJ school.

00:30:43: i've seen it which is dope man.

00:30:44: much respect for that.

00:30:46: Yes So I started my DJ journey at first time but only wanted to battle.

00:30:53: so I start by doing DMCs And I've ended up final like vice champion of France in ninety-eight Don Dad, also the Coupe de France DMC in ninety nine.

00:31:11: Then i joined rock band Silmarius and we toured a world with them.

00:31:19: That was...I learned so much from those guys Before that the Silent Super Crew and a bunch of underground guys, the spread connection.

00:31:33: A lot of different people... And I wanted to get out off that straight hip-hop thing!

00:31:42: ...and i was huge Mixmaster Mike fan !

00:31:45: One day ,I turned on my TV and saw him doing DJ demo on a big stage and I was like, well cool.

00:31:53: And then those three guys jumping everywhere onstage.

00:31:58: Then they took instrument.

00:32:00: They do rock stuff punk stuff back to hip-hop.

00:32:03: Wow!

00:32:04: i want to do that.

00:32:06: The guy who did it at the time in France was Sylvain Marielle.

00:32:10: so we joined them.

00:32:13: We released about three albums together And I tour the world and don't know a lot of things.

00:32:23: My love for rock & hip-hop, they push me to... Because in France when you like.. You knew that my group Silmarils is.

00:32:35: it's a real crossover of Hip Hop & Rock and my friend who likes rocks he says It's too hip hop!

00:32:40: The other one said it was too rock !

00:32:43: That's what we do.

00:32:46: So I wanted to find a way really like, please everybody.

00:32:51: The track Walk This Way by Randy MC and Aerosmith is the best example.

00:32:57: so i'm gonna do tracks like that!

00:32:59: I started to sample classic rock songs then put hip-hop acapellas on it And I really did that and i thought, I created something.

00:33:09: And people start to comment they do it... That's what we call mashups!

00:33:14: So I discover all this mashup world.

00:33:17: Thats how I knew that Mugs was doing that.

00:33:24: We started to talk and we became great friends.

00:33:28: He tried to play my stuff, he invited me here... ...he introduced me to everybody here.

00:33:37: so I'm here since fifteen years in LA still working with Mugs and the Soul Assassin.

00:33:43: In the meantime i've also worked with Sons of Man and Killarmy at a show on WuTang Radio.

00:33:51: We've done a couple of songs with Shogun Assassin, Prodigal Son, Berrella Nine and I met she through those guys.

00:34:08: And i always been the big fan of his work.

00:34:11: we just went apart if he was doing this thing or mine... ...and I have a radio station that actually hosts your show And I saw a flyer saying, Shaking is going to be on that show.

00:34:26: and i was like oh man!

00:34:27: I love this guy.

00:34:28: so I sent him a text and said Oh Man!

00:34:29: I'm happy you're gonna do it and boom we connect right away.

00:34:36: Let's let us do something together.

00:34:38: That what have been doing.

00:34:42: We are here now.

00:34:43: So...I don't know if answer well your question but thats kind of like What I've done.

00:34:49: Yes

00:34:50: Yeah man, you told us about that hip-hop and rock mix which makes me think of something when I was a kid.

00:34:58: One the guy who watched The Sheldon in college You know?

00:35:01: And then I told him straight into Hip-Hop Man!

00:35:04: I don't like rock music that much.

00:35:07: He said

00:35:07: what?!

00:35:07: Don't listen to

00:35:09: Hip Hop?

00:35:10: Don't you like Run DMC?

00:35:12: Don´t you like the Beastie Boys?

00:35:15: Hold on

00:35:17: yeah

00:35:18: he is right.

00:35:19: Actually, we've done like a big show.

00:35:22: Like that was like fifteen years ago with Silmarils and at the time We had a track with the BOS guys which is very famous French collective And so were playing in Bercy.

00:35:40: So it's huge venue like fifteen thousand people and are opening for Korn.

00:35:50: As soon as the three guys from the USS came on stage, everybody started to whistle and be like get out of here.

00:35:57: You don't have... Dude, can't just get out

00:36:02: these

00:36:02: tour called Family Values with Limb Biscuit & Ice Cube And they are open for that.

00:36:08: so the US has always been more open.

00:36:11: That's why I wanted also to come here because i want it open and work in an open market with people that like different things, they're not straight hip-hop.

00:36:22: I'm only like Hip Hop.

00:36:26: Mugs is a huge Led Zeppelin fan And all these townies coming from classic rock.

00:36:32: All those guys if you won't be good at... You need to open your mind for other thing than just hip hop.

00:36:38: Yeah, yeah.

00:36:39: You know guys like you saying DJ mugs guy's like the alchemist to dj premiere just blaze?

00:36:45: When your hear music it is rock samples in there man

00:36:49: Exactly!

00:36:50: And we have actually sampled a couple of Rock song for our project One from Neil Young and The other one I'm not gonna say because maybe nobody I

00:37:10: do not affirm nor deny that statement.

00:37:13: No sample snitching!

00:37:17: But

00:37:18: basically the album we've been doing with she, it's just like a six songs.

00:37:26: first project because We're gonna work on more but we put all the influences at we have like classic rock hip-hop Latin America things Everything we like, we put in there and that's I think the project really reflects what we are.

00:37:41: And who we... We're gonna keep going this way because i think thats a recipe of doing something great!

00:37:51: We were talking offline before about need to do things with art if you want it for fame or money.

00:38:00: Fame & Money will come If The Art is True And that's what I think, so... Yeah.

00:38:07: I agree with you man.

00:38:09: We're coming back to authentic music.

00:38:12: You know people are not stupid.

00:38:13: They can't see if something is authentic or not and If you guys found your own identity Your home like sonic image That the word i use sometimes A sonic image in a few times That's fine.

00:38:27: Then ya gotta go with it.

00:38:29: just keep working.

00:38:31: Let us talk about you cheeking Like, you know tell the people about what she do where are from how long have been doing this and How?

00:38:39: You got connected to the homie DJ Swift now.

00:38:43: Yeah, I'm gonna keep it short of sweet boys shit boy cheek King.

00:38:46: You know I'm cooling in a milkshake in a snowstorm again popping out here From Brooklyn New York live.

00:38:52: In effect you know saying that originally from Brooklyn Zoo sons a man brought him by twelve o'clock And Murdoch.

00:38:57: you know me i mean rest in peace.

00:38:59: twelve o clock at murdoch Recipes to my brothers.

00:39:02: I brought in by twelve o'clock and Prodigal Son, which they had a group called Two In A Row at the time but both were part of major groups like Prodigals was part of Sons Of Man, Twelve O'Clock is part of Brooklyn Zoo But those are guys who brought me in.

00:39:16: so it kind made me part of Both these collectives because when i was one with twelve hours with P You know what I mean?

00:39:23: So I met sixty Hellraiser you know what im saying killer priest when I was with Pee and then I met Shorty Shustain, Boudemort, Murdoch.

00:39:31: You know?

00:39:32: And when I went to Brooklyn Zoo so they kind of the ones who brought me into the real industry.

00:39:37: that's like my forefathers right there.

00:39:40: and uh...I just been- I stopped doing music in like two thousand fifteen and i opened up a movie studio at Los Angeles California because I was tired of paying so much for videos and production, and beats.

00:39:58: And it was just like... It was always something when I came into the game in two thousand six, two thousand five When i came to the industry not the underground because I've been In the underground since ninety-five, ninety four.

00:40:11: That's what The Warheads we Just talked about my boy Thunder and all that.

00:40:15: Thats with The warheads.

00:40:16: thats like Underground right?

00:40:17: When I Came Into My Industry Part um..it Was Like Two Thousand Five, Two Thousands Six When I had my debut on a Prodigal Son album.

00:40:25: And actually my debut was on Timbo King's mixtape, but ma-ma-ma... My industry debut is on the Prodigal Son, me prodigal at twelve o'clock.

00:40:33: So I had stopped

00:40:34: twenty-twelve

00:40:35: or twenty thirteen because it was like there are always these fucking niggas trying to just fucking... Oh can i curse?

00:40:42: Yeah you can't curse!

00:40:43: You cant curse!

00:40:43: They're probably just trying to bleed out of money and not give what they want.

00:40:49: so its By the time we on a third or fourth change up, it's like I gotta give him another hundred.

00:40:55: I got to give them another fifty.

00:40:56: It's like you know what?

00:40:57: I'm gonna go and learn myself.

00:40:59: so What i did was i opened up a seven thousand square foot movie studio.

00:41:03: I fucking took all my money Got investment made of fucking banging ass movie studio that Everybody from money bag yo netflix jenny eight yo ray shimmered metallica uh Uh...I mean not Metallica.

00:41:17: hurricane and disturbed have come in.

00:41:21: I've helped shoot their videos at my spot, you know what i'm saying?

00:41:24: So I learned how to do production...I learn How To Do editing..I Learned How To do lighting....I learned How to do graphics nice!

00:41:30: And then this thing is just like- I was like I'm coming back..... I already knew I was coming Back in twenty twenty six.

00:41:37: I had a five year plan In twenty twenty one but Then the COVID hit.

00:41:42: so I had to shut My studio down.

00:41:44: And then after that, the fucking writer's strike happened.

00:41:48: So it was like now everybody in LA is not paying for studio time.

00:41:53: you know what I mean?

00:41:54: so i'm doing ten thousand dollars a month from bills.

00:41:56: You Know What I Mean That I Couldn't.

00:41:58: So I had to let The Studio Go In Twenty-Twenty Three and Then I opened Up A Smaller Studio on Vegas.

00:42:03: so Now Have A podcast stage Recording Studio All That Just just smaller.

00:42:08: in Las Vegas have a location and I have a small Location in LA where I could record and do all my things, but everybody know i'm real hip hop.

00:42:16: since.

00:42:16: um let's just keep it in this year alone.

00:42:19: I want y'all to notice it!

00:42:20: I've been dropping-I already dropped the one EP in January and I've be dropping a new single or Best of Cheat King every two weeks since then And I'm gonna keep going until I bust through this algorithm that is was controlling everything.

00:42:33: now because me and you guys were from a world We drop the record, we go on tour.

00:42:38: We kiss babies... You know what I mean?

00:42:40: Yeah!

00:42:40: ...we fuck with people and do it organically.

00:42:43: but now this system is a microwave system where you only have short attention span of fans so that they can keep us in other peoples' feet.

00:42:55: So its like.. They keep moving to goalposts To win.

00:43:00: Now This Is How You Gotta Win.

00:43:04: When Swift hit me up, we hit each other because I had just got with a TJ Superhype shout out to him.

00:43:11: And he texted and then it was like yo We need do something let's get us all together!

00:43:16: Then he sent some beats in one song turned into two.

00:43:19: Two songs turn into seven and actually have ten songs.

00:43:22: but we picked six out Because you know what?

00:43:24: We're gonna do a trilogy.

00:43:26: part One this is the sound check Part two is the show and then part three, it's gonna be after party.

00:43:32: You know what I mean?

00:43:33: A three-piece set that we're going to give you within this span of a year And give defense.

00:43:38: organic hip hop bro.

00:43:39: when you listen today...I'm sorry if i'm talking too much about When you listened to this project right?

00:43:44: Organic Hip Hop dope ass topics!

00:43:47: You Know what I'm saying?

00:43:48: We giving you something That you can feed off?

00:43:51: no ego I'm tired of, uh...I'm the best.

00:43:55: Of course we're in a competitive sport right?

00:43:58: But what level of competition are we talking about?

00:44:02: you know me like when your lost and just ego.

00:44:04: Right.

00:44:05: how were given to fans?

00:44:06: How have been giving consumers some that they can resonate with And feed their soul?

00:44:11: So me and him, Swift don't got no hair on his tongue.

00:44:15: We done had like three thousand... He doesn't even speak English in French.

00:44:20: we are doing... You know what I'm saying?

00:44:24: Like we didn't want to have your heads on so much shit but it's so much fire there because were both passionate about music And were both passionate about making sh** right.

00:44:33: you know what i'm saying ?

00:44:35: And when you hear songs like I met her especially you King that topic.

00:44:42: You know what I mean?

00:44:42: Well, we talking about...I met hip-hop!

00:44:44: I fell in love with hip hop and this is how the last person to do it was Carmen.

00:44:49: you don't me many years ago like let's be competitive in a different way more creative More

00:44:59: quality because we've seen a lot of him sees it's a lot music dropping in this new era every day.

00:45:05: You know, It's New Music Droping in that new video so you got to be different?

00:45:10: We been through like you say no dudes with the big egos talking about yeah do This you don't Do That.

00:45:15: you know what the fuck I'm Talking About?

00:45:17: Yeah So if he Gotta Come Up With Something Different and Touch People's Arts Say Some Shit That They Can't Relate.

00:45:24: Yeah, and that could resonate like right now as if you put on your production hat.

00:45:27: You're a producer I see or anything

00:45:29: Right?

00:45:29: Mm-hmm

00:45:30: need things to have replay value Something.

00:45:33: then I can play over in over an over and over again And it never gets old.

00:45:38: you know Sam.

00:45:39: yep, and ask what the true artists.

00:45:42: I think our job is true artist Is to make one thing that lives forever bro.

00:45:47: yeah Here's my question for you Like you know you guys make me been making music for a long time.

00:45:52: And what do you think is the secret to making timeless music and a secret to longevity as an artist?

00:46:03: I will say, like make music with your heart because people are gonna feel it.

00:46:10: It's everything if you would do that with passion... Do everything you want with patience and love for what you wanna do.

00:46:26: Don't try things, just DO things!

00:46:28: Act, do things... And if success comes that's gonna be a blessing.

00:46:35: but everything is just art.

00:46:37: Just follow the love of the art I think.

00:46:43: I agree

00:46:45: too.

00:46:45: I definitely agree.

00:46:50: I feel like I've made a classic, you know what I mean?

00:46:52: But looking at people who to me are my inspirations like Redman, Method Man, Most Death... You know what i mean?

00:47:03: Tali Kuali Freeway from Philly, you Know What I Mean?

00:47:08: Cypress Hill Mugs Consistency creating a consistency, being loyal to your craft.

00:47:16: You know what I'm saying?

00:47:17: Like bein' loyal to you're craft.

00:47:18: Bein' consistent like when ya don't feel like doin it do it When you DO feel like doing or do it and when you feeling great do it.

00:47:24: And just um...be loyal to yo' craft man!

00:47:26: Be consistent because one of those is gonna pop.

00:47:30: Some's going to pop.

00:47:31: The only thing that i wanna tell young artists Is the ONLY way you not gonna get there as if you stopped

00:47:40: Yummy, and it's sad because we all know talented artists that are super dope But they're lacking consistency.

00:47:49: They just don't have a day might do some shit for six months.

00:47:52: in Six months is a lot you know I'm saying ever something.

00:47:54: yeah on the average It's not even six months but you know They'll be doing some shit for six months, then they lose the motivation.

00:48:01: They take a break four years and come back another six months but it's not working like that especially in this era.

00:48:07: you gotta be active!

00:48:09: Be on their ass all of time!

00:48:11: Yeah It was like even now when me and Swift were dropping... Swift pulled to my side saying you don't think that you've been dropin' music every week.

00:48:21: You dont thing thats gonna saturate your market.

00:48:23: I was like nah actually That's the market we in now.

00:48:29: You can't just have one project out like you got to have thirty songs at a fire for One Project because that algorithm It's only accepting consistency, you know saying?

00:48:39: Like they people will keep releasing key could be the wackest thing of The world.

00:48:43: if he keeps releasing your gonna be an algorithm.

00:48:46: Yep, I mean so imagine it through

00:48:47: as true.

00:48:48: Yeah means I was like it Was dope too.

00:48:51: um Have that moment when me.

00:48:52: is that yo right?

00:48:53: And then we, you know... We drop them.

00:48:55: Like I'm dropping every two weeks Every three days like You know what i mean?

00:48:59: Drive hard is out right now.

00:49:02: But everybody who don't fuck with ice all over the world You dont' fuck with Ice.

00:49:06: This was a dedication to fuck Ice Man.

00:49:08: Drive

00:49:09: hard.

00:49:10: It's not too many people that go and fuck With Ice man.

00:49:13: So it's A song made for ninety percent of The population Of THE GLOB.

00:49:17: I think

00:49:18: Yeah.

00:49:19: That's why I wanted To get Out There.

00:49:21: And the kill, the ill part is if you listen to it.

00:49:24: You remember Run right?

00:49:26: By Kappa Donna and then run by Ghostface.

00:49:29: I did Drive

00:49:31: Okay.

00:49:33: So like all my songs are connected through another great song in hip-hop because i think that's The time we're in.

00:49:40: We need start

00:49:40: bringing them organic topics back

00:49:43: man.

00:49:44: It's time Like real Hip Hop is now.

00:49:48: That what I tell people.

00:49:50: some people they say yo hip hop was better before man the nineties whatever i mean i agree the nineties were great man.

00:49:57: when it comes to hip-hop music.

00:49:58: you had their time.

00:49:59: but take a look at twenty twenty five for example bro like we've seen ransom, we've see Snoop Dogg M&M LL Cool J rake one dropping shit man in twenty twenty.

00:50:12: that was last year

00:50:14: yeah.

00:50:14: and then we got fly new cats like RJ Payne You know what I mean?

00:50:20: Like fuckin' Nems, Gorilla Nems right now.

00:50:22: Everything he dropped is fire.

00:50:24: you know me like real hip-hop shit.

00:50:25: You got city mode, Don Pacino, you know what i'm talking about?

00:50:30: Rome Strait's Marlin Crafts to name a few man!

00:50:34: Yeah

00:50:35: so it's out there...you just gotta look for

00:50:40: it.

00:50:41: Yeah exactly that's true.

00:50:43: Yeah, man.

00:50:45: And you guys... You both took a break from music working on movie studios and all that same for you.

00:50:53: Swift like.

00:50:54: we were not focused building albums with artists but had motivation back.

00:51:01: How did you get the motivation to start again under the road of hip hop?

00:51:09: Me I was.

00:51:10: I lost faith in the music because i was working with a universal back-in-the-days and... ...I wasn't supposed to make each song for them.

00:51:21: And that's never good enough, there were always this or using these and it was like.. I don' want format my work too much!

00:51:28: It is not me ,it isn´t what I wanna do.

00:51:31: if.... If I wanted use this snare or kick... Fuck it !

00:51:35: I'm gonna use

00:51:36: it!!

00:51:37: You know ?

00:51:39: What we have to use because it's got to sound like that And I don't know, working with some people.

00:51:54: That was a big dream To work in the US and work with this or that.

00:52:01: I don't like that.

00:52:06: Like this, i want to do it my way and create what I wanted And...I took a break.

00:52:16: It just came back by hanging out more with the Mercs than those guys seeing them worried.

00:52:23: They didn't wait for anything.

00:52:25: they produced new things do project and I'm like you know what.

00:52:31: don't cry because you never made this or that.

00:52:34: just make things happen.

00:52:37: Just work, so as the motivation came back in this way.

00:52:49: Now say

00:52:55: it in

00:52:59: Spanish!

00:53:01: I spoke a little

00:53:05: bit of Spanish.

00:53:08: Very little,

00:53:13: very little.

00:53:14: That's it.

00:53:15: and then out,

00:53:17: you know

00:53:20: that so far as I go.

00:53:29: It is still good man!

00:53:30: Still good.

00:53:31: at least You make the effort you know.

00:53:33: Yeah a little bit.

00:53:36: What about you Chi?

00:53:37: Like how did you get to the motivation back after this stuff?

00:53:40: you told me The covid break Then the riders blog.

00:53:44: How do you get into hip-hop?

00:53:50: I lost a lot of people, like a lotta people passing away.

00:53:53: You know what I'm saying?

00:53:54: Recipes at twelve o'clock and Murdoch.

00:53:56: they got murders.

00:53:56: you know what i'm sayin'?

00:53:59: And that really hurt me.

00:54:00: That shit hitin' me hard.

00:54:01: ya know what im sayin'?

00:54:03: A lotta people been passin' away just in general.

00:54:06: and then Im sayin' to myself Like...I'm not gonna let my life go without Fuckin' going as hard as I ever could fucking go, because now there's no excuse.

00:54:15: Like i grew up on the street No mom,no family...I ain't have nobody.. I only had hip hop.

00:54:20: You know what im saying?

00:54:22: So even when I came to the table- I was on Toll Redman and Method Man!

00:54:27: I wasn't even ready for it.

00:54:28: You know what I'm saying?

00:54:30: Like if i would have had my merch, but I wouldn't been together.

00:54:32: If I would've had my songs right and I'd probably still be riding off that wave you know me.

00:54:39: But it literally came straight of the street And somehow got an opening act on Red Man and Met The Mentor.

00:54:47: It was all to races from there.

00:54:49: because from then I did movies, music, soundtracks... I lived in a studio where like I don't think they gave them.

00:54:56: I gave myself because in those times, like people that... People always want to blame other people.

00:55:02: Right?

00:55:02: And i think that-I just wanted be honest with you!

00:55:04: I wanna be honest for

00:55:05: everybody!!

00:55:05: You know what I

00:55:06: mean??

00:55:06: That's why I'm at it.

00:55:07: Like maybe I was blaming other people up.. Well YOU didn't do this or you didn't did that and you don't help me do that.

00:55:12: No nigga help yourself man!

00:55:14: Help your f***ing self man!

00:55:15: You know I'm saying?

00:55:16: What are you gonna do for

00:55:17: you?!

00:55:17: You know what I mean?

00:55:18: So, i had to get...i got my mind and life together.

00:55:21: And feel like im in a great place right now!

00:55:23: And say you know where..I said it a year ago.

00:55:25: I said that twenty-twenty six is gonna be your year.

00:55:27: Then bring back.

00:55:29: You know whats saying?

00:55:29: Yes.

00:55:29: And already planned this.

00:55:31: so alot of these songs were made along even the songs about the job.

00:55:35: Already made laid out.

00:55:37: I already had it planned.

00:55:38: The only one that though was stolen sisters or stolen sister's right here, did this song for the MMIW For the murdered and missing indigenous women.

00:55:46: because there is a big thing going on in America That women are being murdered and killed off of reservation And nobody talking about it.

00:55:54: You know what i mean?

00:55:56: They don't call regular cops.

00:55:57: they got to call feds and all that shit.

00:55:59: So you Know What I Mean For them, this symbolized them.

00:56:03: The song was called Stolen Sisters and fifty percent of all proceeds goes to victim families.

00:56:08: so you know what I mean?

00:56:09: This wasn't planned but i did that off the thing.

00:56:11: and Drive Hard wasn't plan because one my friends got abused by ICE.

00:56:17: And then I went into studio and made Drive Hard.

00:56:21: But the things brought me back is like...I can't fail.
