00:34:04: Let's get it man.

00:34:05: Welcome to the mixtape attic radio show.

00:34:07: I'm your host King flow all the way in France and today have a special guest fake free KP In The Building.

00:34:20: i'm happy to have you on this show.

00:34:22: I've heard that new track That You did.

00:34:24: It's A banger.

00:34:25: you know I've been playing it On This Show.

00:34:27: No, the feedback is good.

00:34:28: People are loving the track so it's a pleasure to have

00:34:30: you man.

00:34:31: Yeah I appreciate it

00:34:34: no doubt ma'am but if we know about tradition in the mixtape addict show i have to ask you man You Know It's About Mixtape Culture DJ culture all that.

00:34:42: So let me ask you this Who Is Your All Time Favorite DJ Man?

00:34:52: Damn!

00:34:52: I would probably say my all time favorite dj will probably be That's crazy.

00:35:01: It'd probably be DJ drama because of the gangster grills.

00:35:04: Yeah, it would probably be drama cause that is like a real thing embedded in what I remember being fan or hip hop.

00:35:19: as far as gangsta grills and little Wayne mixtapes all of them yeah... I had to say drama.

00:35:26: Yup, yup shout out to drama.

00:35:28: we all remember what happened to him when the police came To his door for mixtapes is crazy man.

00:35:33: Yeah For sure.

00:35:36: And that shows you right there.

00:35:38: The power of mixtape's always.

00:35:40: You know When We talk about Drama I'll Always mention That The Power Of Mixtape Man If You Have The Police At Your Door Just For Mixtape Is Crazy

00:35:49: Sure

00:35:50: Yeah Man.

00:35:51: Do Ya Have Like A Like A Favorite DJ Drama Mix

00:35:55: Tape?

00:35:56: I'd probably be Lil Wayne, dedication too.

00:36:02: Yeah that's a classic right there.

00:36:06: Yeah man sure.

00:36:07: yeah but you know what it is to mix tape addicts.

00:36:10: so when i'm gonna ask your question i think i know the answer to this because of the of the dedication tape that you just told me about.

00:36:18: do you miss the mixed-tape format?

00:36:20: um

00:36:23: yeah i feel like only cuz.

00:36:26: Now it's like you can't really... You can get on other people beats without getting the music taken down.

00:36:37: And then when you do, you gotta upload everything on YouTube and SoundCloud or Audio Mac which is harder for a listener because they got Spotify Apple Music and all this stuff now.

00:36:54: but if you could upload Wrapping all other people beats on like Apple music and Spotify that would I feel Like they were change a lot of stuff because it will make the mixtape feeling come back.

00:37:08: Yeah, yeah It's hard to drop.

00:37:09: Like those type of tracks on streaming platforms.

00:37:12: but i've seen guys like Lloyd Banks drop freestyles on instagram or youtube.

00:37:18: yeah just for one track.

00:37:20: sadly you cannot really do it with a whole tape unless your own website, platform where are sure to not get flagged.

00:37:28: copyright is that?

00:37:32: have ever told about like releasing a compilation of mixtape from the old music since more than ten years all the unreleased stuff?

00:37:42: Nah, not

00:37:45: a mixtape.

00:37:47: I mean...I had put up mixtapes about back in twenty nineteen called the build-up but again that was on Audio Mac because i was rapping all other people beats and stuff like that.

00:38:02: And then i have some originals there.

00:38:04: But now..i never really thought of doing a miXTAPE of older records Like A Lost Files kind of thing.

00:38:12: That's what you represent.

00:38:13: but nah, I haven't yet.

00:38:17: Okay well that's one idea you know because you just sound with rough writers like imagine you rapping on old school roughwriters classic.

00:38:27: they'll make the OG happy and young generation happy at the same time Like a revival of all the anthems.

00:38:38: That'd be dope man.

00:38:39: They'll be dope like you know.

00:38:41: out there on the mix they pay a show.

00:38:43: that's what I do sometimes because Because of radio platforms, we don't have copyright issue.

00:38:48: So sometimes I have artists on this show that drop freestyle zone whatever beat they want to use.

00:38:53: We don't care.

00:38:54: You know it's no copy right?

00:38:56: It's no problem here.

00:38:57: We still have freedom.

00:39:06: Yeah, so yeah damn Like I had some people rap on, you know New York State of mind or so Jay-Z dead president whatever man As long as the beat is dope and the hardest like it we play to freestyle.

00:39:16: then he gets played on FM stations out there.

00:39:19: You know?

00:39:20: We still have that freedom.

00:39:21: That's

00:39:22: fire!

00:39:23: Yeah man...we're trying keep culture alive.

00:39:26: Bring that mixtape spirit.

00:39:29: Make sure its still live in twenty twenty six using modern technology.

00:39:35: Yeah, yeah.

00:39:35: Well I have a short mixtape added question for you.

00:39:39: Do what makes it dope?

00:39:41: mixtapes like?

00:39:42: What do you want to hear when you press play

00:39:46: Just uh good bars and a vibe Like this one thing that we be rapping good But it's another thing.

00:39:53: they had feeling the company with the wrapping so and then like You got like out doing people on their own beats.

00:40:01: That's like a real thing to me like taking somebody else beat And like, killing it so bad that people forget That its not your original record.

00:40:12: You know what I mean?

00:40:13: I think thats a lot of What i look for when im thinking about mixtape.

00:40:20: We remember back in the days When you know The G-Unit did that They took some R&B joints sometimes and rap on it.

00:40:28: Sometimes they sounded better than their original.

00:40:31: Some mixtapes are better then albums.

00:40:34: Yeah A lot times

00:40:37: Yeah,

00:40:38: sure.

00:40:40: Well tell them people man about how you got connected with Rough Riders?

00:40:49: I was actually at a bars on our ninety-five brunch.

00:40:52: shout out to the A B and C's.

00:40:55: um i don't know if y'all heard of bars are nine five but they like a major platform over here ran into a friend of mine, Scarlet and she's actually tied in with like people at Rough Riders Camp.

00:41:12: I met an A&R there at the brunch.

00:41:17: we ended up having a conversation humming my manager who was about setting up for meeting.

00:41:25: The meeting wasn't actually taking a little long to happen so i had uh work around that...I ended up knowing somebody else that was connected to Rough Rider.

00:41:36: once once I seen that they was interested in me or they knew of me and it was interesting having a meeting, i ended up getting with my son.

00:41:45: And he put me on the phone directly with this CEO which is Wadine and um we...I ended up sending them some music and then sending him to music turned into uh a meet-in which turned into a studio session and that studio session turned into another meeting Which had been turned into me coming around.

00:42:06: more that turned into a contract and then you know I mean we're here now.

00:42:11: That's dope, are you guys all planning on working on an album?

00:42:17: Yeah for sure yeah absolutely

00:42:21: can you tell us more about that?

00:42:22: or it's confidential for them.

00:42:25: right now We just focused on singles.

00:42:27: You could expect some of the singles coming out to be in the album but Right Now we mainly focus only summer reignite in that feeling that Rough Riders has always been known for, you know what I mean?

00:42:44: And thats coming with the singles.

00:42:46: Okay okay yeah are you bringing that good energy to Rough Rider's?

00:42:51: You know Thats what the Rough Riders have been since the nineties.

00:42:55: its their energy it is their realness and also a lot of technical MCs came out from Rough riders.

00:43:02: For example.

00:43:03: Im talking about Dragon And that could be a super nice track if you guys ever collab together on something.

00:43:11: You and Dragone, because you represent the young generation but also have authenticity in experience of OGs.

00:43:20: so thats just strength for your music.

00:43:25: Thankyou!

00:43:26: For sure though I was with Dragon Yonkers for DMX's block reveal.

00:43:32: That is all in the works.

00:43:35: He knows I'm extremely interested in working with him, so it's there.

00:43:41: Nice nice Wow your manager has my email.

00:43:44: when that track drops make sure you Make my gmail explode man.

00:43:52: That we were talking about Europe and everything was your manager before We started this interview like.

00:43:57: what's your opinion on?

00:43:58: you know, hip-hop from overseas.

00:44:00: You know in terms of the audience and since they're... In terms of producers or artists?

00:44:04: Thanks

00:44:04: Dad!

00:44:05: The audience I think y'all like really appreciate your artist.

00:44:09: i would love to be over there for a show with some other producers..I Think Y'all Got A Sound That's Constantly Evolving And Changing.

00:44:17: uh....i just think it's a dope vibe.

00:44:20: I've never experienced It in person but um I Like I've Always liked What I've Seen For Sure.

00:44:27: Can we expect something from you, maybe collaborating with overseas producer or artist?

00:44:33: Or may be even you coming out there.

00:44:36: I mean hopefully... I'm hoping to it!

00:44:40: Um..I know me and DJ Mac X. We've been in discussions about like just dope content And stuff like that but i haven't really spoken to anybody on a producer type Or on the artistry side yet, but I'm more than open to

00:45:04: it.

00:45:04: Yeah sure when you ever come out there and make that call You know even if your in London It's not too far from France.

00:45:10: so yeah moves to be made man Because they have love for authentic hip-hop Like groups like Onyx For example.

00:45:24: i know in US sometimes They didn't rap in stadiums or stuff like that, but when they come to Europe Every shows are sold out.

00:45:32: You know all guys like master ace for you too.

00:45:37: So what do you think about dead?

00:45:38: Like that European people are giving more strength and More love.

00:45:43: two those og hardest

00:45:46: I Don't know.

00:45:47: man.

00:45:47: uh i don't know.

00:45:52: i guess y'all just really loved golden era hip-hop.

00:45:58: so where's though?

00:46:00: I don't know, i don't really know what to think about that because it's like on one hand... ...I would hope the United States would appreciate us.

00:46:12: Because some of my music is there and some are newer generations but I will hope this states would appreciate more.

00:46:23: But at the same time we run real fast over here.

00:46:28: What do you guys think?

00:46:32: We should appreciate those type of artists more, man.

00:46:36: Because I feel like that's the foundation of everything when it comes to rap.

00:46:42: shit out now.

00:46:43: You feel me?

00:46:45: Y'all definitely appreciate Golden Era Rap more than Nas and Onyx and stuff like that.

00:46:54: so...I don't know!

00:46:56: Ultimately I wish it was more of y'all over here, i guess.

00:47:06: Y'all definitely be putting on.

00:47:07: so yeah... Yeah

00:47:08: you know what those groups right there they're making timeless music stuff that they made like thirty years ago and he can still rock it in.

00:47:17: yes some young people at seventeen-years old coming to them running autographs and stuff like this is beautiful to see man.

00:47:24: Yeah, sure.

00:47:26: And to you like what's the secret to making timeless music?

00:47:32: I don't know.

00:47:32: it just got come from a real place To me and not trying to force anything by just Being oh no yeah being super genuine in your music Not trying for said hit not child sound Like anybody or any thing is being yourself.

00:47:48: I think that's with time was make will helps make them those times.

00:47:53: Yep I think it gotta come from the heart, you know?

00:47:55: It's got to be authentic.

00:47:56: Absolutely!

00:47:57: Because people are not stupid.

00:47:59: You know they're that stupid.

00:48:01: They can feel when something is authentic.

00:48:04: Yeah music ain't nothing but feeling.

00:48:07: Yup So...you

00:48:09: gonna know when some

00:48:09: feels off.

00:48:11: Yup And like do have three words To define your music for those who don't yet know you

00:48:21: Substance reality rap.

00:48:22: I

00:48:25: like that.

00:48:27: Yeah, just real shit.

00:48:30: talk about real shit and anything I do.

00:48:32: I try has some type of substance in it to where You could learn something.

00:48:37: something even if there's like the smallest thing Even if we turning up It's something that I feel like you can take and learn from or apply into your life.

00:48:47: Yep Something that people can relate too.

00:48:51: yeah

00:48:53: Okay, he got a touch people man Like, I bet you probably have messages in your DMs of people telling yo when i heard this track with u. I was at a particular moment that made me feel better and make my progress You know?

00:49:11: Yeah for sure!

00:49:12: I've been getting that for years now.

00:49:13: So... That's what I do it for.

00:49:17: Yep exactly It is why we do this music stuff man When we see message like that that keeps you going, give the strength to keep going and make best music possible.

00:49:34: Yeah absolutely!

00:49:35: You've been rapping for a while.

00:49:36: I think your first project dropped in twenty-nineteen if i'm not mistaken?

00:49:42: The build up...

00:49:44: I fucking think they took my fuckin mixtape down because The build-up dropped in twenty eighteen.

00:49:54: A build up is twenty, the build of two Is twenty nineteen I think.

00:50:00: but yeah i think that Build Up one on streaming platforms might have got sick down because uh at least beat That was...I don't know something with One of the producers..i gotta look into that But it's definitely still out and other places.

00:50:17: but Yeah!

00:50:17: The Build Up is the first

00:50:19: one.

00:50:21: Yeah, and since those days of the build-up like what has been The biggest challenge that you had to face?

00:50:27: You know when you see your life changing now with a rough writer signature is no end all day.

00:50:31: Like What was the biggest challenge?

00:50:34: Um Biggest challenges just staying at it.

00:50:39: I mean Just staying edit believing that they give greater later.

00:50:46: I'm in.

00:50:49: The music is the easy part for real, bro.

00:50:51: It's everything else that's around it and you gotta get through to.

00:50:55: even just get to the music And gets a space.

00:51:01: where are you can function properly?

00:51:03: To create good music.

00:51:04: so best of that stuff That's the part that's like the challenge but they're actually creating this.

00:51:13: yeah when its in your blood You know the creativity is easy And I always tell that in my interview is she can be the most talented guy of a world,

00:51:23: being

00:51:24: super dope MC or producer DJ whatever.

00:51:27: But if you don't put your mind to it and have that tunnel vision its never gonna happen.

00:51:36: So as an artist how do you manage this?

00:51:38: Especially when you are in twenty-twenty six years old with social media pressure You know, drop back to back.

00:51:47: How do you stay focused and keep that tunnel vision?

00:51:52: I just uh...I pray a lot.

00:51:55: I lean on God a lot.. I try to like take sometimes you've got- I don't really take no vacations or no breaks but if i'm with a woman or something Or If anything makes me feel a little peaceful I'll try some of the shit for myself.
